New report on how wall street paid for its own death

You are living in a 50s myth.

The US is not the top of everything anymore.

When will you righties accept this fact and truely help us BACK to number 1 instead of living in a fantasy land?

I was born in 1972 Desh, I didn't live in the 50's. People vote with their feet Desh. Where do people still want to go? That's right the U.S. Now that is not to say the U.S. doesn't face major challenges because it does. And it is not a given the U.S. will stay number one.

You are more concerned about your partisan pissing matches and your political party than the overall big picture. Thus your ability to see Republicans only as evil and Democrats only as good. If life were only so simple.

But some guy on the internets (you know that series of tubes) who has a fart avitar that is at an emotional level of a toddler knows better than all the finacial world experts like say nobel prize winners and SEC heads.

the lapse in your judgement and thinking about this is you have these so called 'experts' with degrees and prizes, but they aren't in the trenches of everyday financial life where we are. It's easy to try to get all macro and micro economical with big words to look fancy and intelligent, you can still be a dumbfuck about it. case in point, me. I've got no college education but have controlled up to 40 multi million/billion dollar military aircraft at one time.

It's a huge mental block for someone that can't see that ordinary everyday people can have monumental intelligence and wisdom.

No a well regulated market and democracy brought us where we once were.

Now deregulation has screwed us.

bullshit. that 'well regulated' market brought us this downward spiral. All that regulation did was build up a false bubble of fake wealth that has dissappeared once it could sustain no more.

and we are NOT a fucking democracy, idiot.

Yes we are a democracy you fucking clown.

A republic is a type of democracy called a representative democracy.

This is why you guys are a dying party.

Its reguired you swallow the pablum daily and only people like you are still willing to do it.

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (commonly known as the SEC) is an independent agency of the United States government which holds primary responsibility for enforcing the federal securities laws and regulating the securities industry, the nation's stock and options exchanges, and other electronic securities markets. The SEC was created by section 4 of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 (now codified as 15 U.S.C. § 78d and commonly referred to as the 1934 Act). In addition to the 1934 Act that created it, the SEC enforces the Securities Act of 1933, the Trust Indenture Act of 1939, the Investment Company Act of 1940, the Investment Advisers Act of 1940, the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002 and other statutes.

http://www.reference.com/browse/Democracy

democracy [Gr.,=rule of the people], term originating in ancient Greece to designate a government where the people share in directing the activities of the state, as distinct from governments controlled by a single class, select group, or autocrat. The definition of democracy has been expanded, however, to describe a philosophy that insists on the right and the capacity of a people, acting either directly or through representatives, to control their institutions for their own purposes. Such a philosophy places a high value on the equality of individuals and would free people as far as possible from restraints not self-imposed. It insists that necessary restraints be imposed only by the consent of the majority and that they conform to the principle of equality.

alright dumbass, I will be very specific and use small words so that you might understand.

Where, in the definition of republic that I posted, does it say that a republic is a democracy?

where in there does it say that it IS a democracy?

This is the stupidity that the right has sold you and you have lapped up like pablum.

You will allow them to make an asshole out of your by believing them when they tell you the wrong definition of a word as important as democracy.

Now you are fighting all the KNOWN information about the correct definitions of a word and looking like a complete bass with a fishhook deeply imbeded in your gullet.

Why to you stay with and defend the people who feed you fucking lies daily?

what your problem is you have proven nothing and have been so very proven wrong you wish to change the subject yet again.

The Securities and Exchange commission is the highest level our country has of just these issues.

The man Cox who Bush himself appointed struggled for years to finish implementing the GLBact 1999 ( the part with teeth) and he has said himself that his inability to regulate and the passage of GLB 1999 is what caused this mess.

But NOOOOOOO you would rather believe what you hear from Rush and Hannity.
