New York's City Council has approved extending the city's strict smoking ban to include electronic cigarettes, which emit a vapor.


The measure was pushed by outgoing Mayor Michael Bloomberg and backed by public health advocates in the city. It comes just weeks after New York became the first major city to raise the age for buying tobacco to 21.

That's not really what is happening. The progressive left wing of the Democratic party has a fraction of the power within the party that the reichwing has in the GOP. Teabaggers are the best thing that's happened to the Democratic party in a long time. As their causing moderates to leave the GOP in droves.

In no small measure due to right wing activist in the GOP the party is pretty much doomed to being a regional party angry older poorly educated white guys of the south east and rural Midwest

Didn't you see the study that said passive smoking is just a load of hooey, why can't people mind their own business? I gave up smoking several years ago, e-cigs wouldn't bother me but there are some people that just can't live and let live!! Frankly Mott I never thought you were so anal?

Not really. Hell I smoke cigars...about two a week...but it doesn't take to much imagination to figure out that most people don't want to breath my second hand smoke. So as a matter of courtesy I don't smoke around them.

It was published in the Journal of the National Cancer Institute, if you are going to criticise at least read the article first. I am sure you have come across the acronym RTFM.

what is amazing is that people act surprised at these moves.

You're another fake scientist. The report wasn't published, a story about the report was published. Two different things. And that has nothing to do with who paid for it. Or whether or not the study was propaganda or just plain hooey!

I guess I'd have to know more about vaping. My question is are you still exposed to harmful combustion products or VOC's? If so, than people have a legitimate gripe not to want to breath your vapors/smoke.
