New York marks fewest murders ever

No seriously if you have the absolute right to bear arms? Why not an ICBM or a Sherman Tank or a blackhawk?

because gun nuts heads explode. NRA talking points don't address bazooka's hand larger.
without the taling points gun nut morons have no clue.

First? I dislike the way you respond in blue letters. When I press quote? They disappear. And makes it hard for me to respond.

I should have made the distinction in the wording....my bad for assuming people would know what I meant.

Nice try to cover up your error, but anyways, yes you should be more specific and give credit to Giuliani for promoting him to commisioner.

Which does not change the FACT that Maples developed his version for NYT police, and Bratton developed a more extensive version for NYC in general under Dinkins...and Giuliani wrongfully took credit for it.

Proof please that the extensive version was developed under Dinkins and not Giuliani. For him to have developed such an extensive version, he needed to be Commissioner of both transit and housing cops of which he was later apoointed, under GUILIANI.

I'm not a New Yorker but this is what logic dictates.

The rest of what you posted is all speculation(and mis-information) and probably from a racial site.

You mean to tell me that employment went down for blacks and crime still subsided? That is impossible. Therefore your article's source is bogus.

But Giuliani DIDN'T give them that credit.....he falsely credited himself. A matter of history, a matter of fact.

Yes, Guiliani did not deserve full credit but to say he deserved none like you suggest is unrealistic either.

Mmm, not quite.... because had it not been for 9/11, both Giuliani and Pataki were about to be crucified for their dismal policies in NYC...hell, the PBA publically railed against Giuliani for not living up to his promises days before 9/11. And that's not all....

No mater what? There are always people complaining about something.

Listen, I'm no fan of Rudolph Guiliani. I know he is crooked(And I was most vocal against his presidential run). Though he does deserves some credit whether you accept it or not.

Oh and the link you supplied?lol Yet again is supporting Guiliani against underserved criticism. Do you even read the links you pot?LOL

Here is the conclusion of the link.

With time, Giuliani's legacy will be based on more than just 9/11. He left a city immeasurably better off -- safer, more prosperous, more confident -- than the one he had inherited eight years earlier, even with the smoldering ruins of the World Trade Center at its heart. Debates about his accomplishments will continue, but the significance of his mayoralty is hard to deny. Perhaps that explains the vehemence of Grand Illusion . After all, muckrakers rarely take aim at dismal failures. ·

You must feel pretty silly right about now.lol

You are more of a idiot than I thought possible, stones, LOL, like to meet in the city and talk about stones, LMAO, as I stated before NYC has had some of the strictest gun laws for years, and you want me to believe in 09 they just started to pay attention, Let me ask you has the Mafia left the city? the Angels ? Things can be made to look anyway ya want it on paper, but you can still buy illegal guns in the city

No the crimials haven't left the city. Though when the city or mayor like Giuliani or Bloomberg decide to crack down on guns? The criminals aren't stupid. They lay low and wait for the heat to cool down.

I would imagine it is harder today to buy illegal arms on the street punk level in NYC. Though I dont know how it is in NYC.

As far as your comment about the crime , whores and drugs being pushed elsewhere?

Its either moved elsewhere or it goes underground, due to better organization. It is not all done out in the open, they have escort agencies now.You can still get drugs or a prostitute anywhere. They are just not crack whores for $5.

I know here the crack is mostly gone from the city, with a few small underground operations still operating, though for the most part, the problem has been contained.

Yes it has sprouted up in neighboring small communities but nothing like it was 20 years ago.

Though drugs and call girls? Although they are not selling out in the open anymore? Is still very available anywhere you go.

First? I dislike the way you respond in blue letters. When I press quote? They disappear. And makes it hard for me to respond.

Sorry, I'll use red....I just don't understand why we have all these options yet they don't work. Oh well.

I said I was wrong....don't expect me to kiss your ass about it. And yeah, 10 points to Rudy for promoting Bratton, but MINUS 100 for falsely taking credit for the man's work.

Pay attention: Maples developed Compstat, Bratton worked out further implementations of the plan with Maples (both men were under the Dinkins administration at the time)and took Maples and his idea along with him when he was promoted to Commish.....Dinkins Never had the chance to do anything further with what Bratton/Maples came up with, as he lost the election. I said this before.

I'm not a New Yorker but this is what logic dictates. You're "logic" is based more on suppostion than accurate analysis of the facts

The rest of what you posted is all speculation(and mis-information) and probably from a racial site. Oh blow it out your butt, Wise. Every blessed time you can't prove your point your start in with wild speculation and accusations.

You mean to tell me that employment went down for blacks and crime still subsided? That is impossible. Therefore your article's source is bogus.

Sorry to inform you, genius...but just because black folk are unemployed doesn't automatically mean they resort to crime. I wonder what bigoted rags/sites/jackasses are filling your head with that mindset...or are you coming up with this crap all by yourself? Bottom line: you couldn't refute the stats, so you just blow bigoted smoke.

But Giuliani DIDN'T give them that credit.....he falsely credited himself. A matter of history, a matter of fact.

Yes, Guiliani did not deserve full credit but to say he deserved none like you suggest is unrealistic either.

I didn't say "none", I said he deserved to be exposed for the exaggerated credit folk like you seem all to willing to give him. HE LIED....plain and simple. Deal with it.

And you're willfully ignorant of the facts. Do some research as to what the PBA (if it weren't for them, Giuliani wouldn't have gotten into office) had to say about Rudy just before 9/11, and what the skinny was on NYC's fiscal situation towards the end of Pataki's term as well.

Listen, I'm no fan of Rudolph Guiliani. I know he is crooked(And I was most vocal against his presidential run). Though he does deserves some credit whether you accept it or not.
Fine: But what YOU are trying to do is deny the chicanery he's done on this instance...and I won't let you do it.

Oh and the link you supplied?lol Yet again is supporting Guiliani against underserved criticism. Do you even read the links you pot?LOL

Spare me the BS, chuckles...either you can or can't refute what was written. Your opinion isn't worth squat....tell me exactly what is wrong in the article and why.

That was the OPINION of the writer, which did NOT reflect the FACTS that even he had to concede to in his review, which did not bode well for the Giuliani legacy. Evidently, you turn a blind eye to what you don't like. Here chuckles, read this and get educated before your fingers hit the keys next time. I don't feel silly, I feel embarassment on your behalf.

No Tally Whacker I guess this childish attempt at an insult was a big deal when you were still in grade school your wrong again, I came into this thread posting a reply to Topspin , post #48

No shit sherlock...that's got NOTHING to do with the crap you spewed in response to what I wrote. As usual, when nailed being ignorant on a point, you try to dodge or change the subject.

What I replied to was his comment about NRA, then you put your 2 cents in, seems I said right in my first post NYC has been cleaned up, but the crime , whores and drugs have been pushed elsewhere And then you made the silly comparison regarding guns, which I pointed out doesn't work.
But notice Folks this bad ass tuff guy who wants to get shitty with woman , talk like some kind of bad ass to all on a computer Monitor , wants me to have the stones to admit his shit, LOL, well when this tuff guy was asked to meet and talk about STONES he didn't even reply, just another scared little boy sitting behind his computer screen

Jeffy, YOU are the one with condescending attitude, then you get all pissy when I simply PROVE YOU WRONG WITH FACTS. If you talk smack to someone, expect to get it back and don't whine about it. Like the typical intellectually bankrupt neocon, you go on the personal attack to try and dodge that you were proven wrong.

Bottom line: you're a cowardly little LIAR. You don't have the maturity to admit you're wrong about something on a format as anonymous as this. The chronology of the posts shows this.

ARTICLE I, SECTION VIII
The Congress shall have the power to...To declare War, grant Letters of Marque and Reprisal, and make Rules concerning Captures on Land and Water...

Pretty clear they intended your average citizen to be able to purchase some heavy duty stuff. Especially since we are one of the few nations that still retain the ability to grant Letters of Marque.

You can own the latter two. It's even expressed and intended in the constitution.
There is a militia across the way from a friend's property, they own collectively a ton of property. We watch them fly their Blackhawk (I know they have at least one of them) at least once per week and they consistently drive in more modern tanks and APVs than the Sherman...

It's actually quite cool. Of course they practice usually far from our prying eyes, but it is cool when we catch those glimpses.
