The FAA has confirmed that Reagan National Airport (DCA) will remain closed until at least 5 a.m. Friday following the mid-air collision between American Airlines Flight 5342 and a U.S. Army Black Hawk helicopter.

Emergency personnel responded to the crash around 9 p.m. Wednesday, halting all takeoffs and landings.

Mutual aid teams from neighboring agencies were called in to assist.

Airport staff are still working to deboard passengers from grounded flights as investigators piece together what led to the tragedy.

And the left is mad because Trump wasn't on the chopper.

New aerial images reveal rescue boats surrounding a crumpled fuselage, either from AA Flight 5342 or the UH-60 Black Hawk, floating in the Potomac River.

Rescuers describe the wreckage as being in multiple pieces, making it difficult to identify.

Officials now fear this could be D.C.’s deadliest disaster in decades, with no survivors recovered so far.

Democrat DEI D.C. Mayor Muriel "Bow-wow" Bowser will address the public in a 12:30 a.m. press conference as search efforts continue.

The military Blackhawk that crashed into an American Airlines flight in Washington, DC was reportedly “FLYING DARK,” per ADSBexchange.

The chopper was NOT broadcasting an ADSB signal at the time.

It has just been found submerged in the Potomac River, and first responders say there are likely “no viable victims inside.”
