This just changes the rules on how you pass it on. She's an idiot. She thinks--or whatever she does like that--that people will just die and their stuff goes to their children or whoever. People with lots of stuff have trusts, joint accounts and holdings, and other similar means set up to prevent the government from taking their wealth when a family member dies.

You have a family farm? Turn it into an LLC. Then the kids just become the CEO etc., when dad kicks the bucket and the farm goes on no inheritance taxes paid.
