There is no democracy. The United States was never a democracy. It's a federated republic.
A democracy is government by popular vote. There is no constitution, and there are no representatives.

What Democrats call "democracy" is The Oligarchy they want to implement, or dictatorship by committee, with themselves of course as "The Elite".

Nope. They used the Constitution of the United States, which specifies how that election is to be conducted and which defines the officer called the President of the United States and specifies his powers and authority and term of office.

While the word was "coined" here, the concept of fascism is much older. Also, the circular justification by Giovanni is typical of any socialist.

Before the word itself was "coined", people simply called it market manipulation. This happened in ancient Rome and ancient Greece.
Ancient Egypt was a dual dictatorship (with two Pharaohs each lording over his section of the river as kings). Egypt used communism. The Pharaoh owned everything outright...the land, the grain, the slaves, the buildings...everything.

In ancient Rome, price controls were attempted on various products, but the government didn't own those products. That's fascism, using the modern term.

You need to learn leftist-speak to understand what Newsom is saying. "Democracy" has been hijacked by modern-day leftists from its original ancient Greek meaning of "everyone gets a say" to "the Marxist oligarchy gives everyone a say by knowing better than you what is best for you, and by silencing your voice as it speaks for you, saving you from yourself."

You also need to learn that the United States is not, nor has it ever been, a democracy. It is a Constitutional republic. The HUGE difference is that "Democracy" = mob rule and jeopardy for the minority, whereas a Constitution lays out protections for the minority and for the individual, despite the wishes of the majority. Feel free to check the Constitution; the word "democracy" is deliberately nowhere to be found, whereas the Constitution guarantees a republican form of government.

So naturally our Constitutional republic represents an existential threat to any covert oligarchies the Democracts have created, to include the States of California and New York. Threatening "democracy" is a good thing. When more Democrats are screaming that their tyrannical Marxist oligarchies are threatened, somebody is doing something right.
