Not Nice
Agreed. It proves they are not very bright and can't see much further than the end of their own noses.
Yes. Agreed, which gets back to the self-esteem issue; a need to feel superior to others. They justify receiving taxpayer dollars from you and me because they truly need the money but consider all those lazy, shiftless gays, blacks, Jews and women to be whining losers sucking up money without actually needing it. Yes, it's a very fucked up attitude, but low self-esteem people are often poorly educated, not-too-bright and/or mentally ill. Usually the latter.
Consider an elderly person who once thought they had it all but blew their money on foolish things, ends up in retirement with severe diabetes, bad knees, crippling arthritis or other ailments yet still has to work in order to make ends meet. If they were intelligent, educated and sane, they'd have prepared for the eventuality. If they were less so, they are now behind the power curve and struggling with an uncertain future.
In my experience, it's this latter group who are most likely to blame others for their problems. Usually just as seen daily on JPP; they blame the Libs for giving away all their tax dollars to buy votes from minorities and illegals. They blame the Lefties for paying for trannie surgeries on kids and prisoners. They blame the lazy, shiftless Jews, blacks, Mexicans, gays, etc for sucking up tax dollars without ever paying anything into the national treasury.
Who they don't blame are the Republicans who keep threatening to shut down the government without bigger tax cuts for the rich at the cost of underfunding oversight agencies, law enforcement and the military. It's one thing to cut the fat, but the Republicans have been doing this for over 30 years and are now cutting out meat and bone. It's why our infrastructure is failing. It's why many things can't be done simply because there's no money to do it. It's also why the debt keeps rising.
Yet, according to the bigots, it's the Lib's fault.
None of this is true, of course, but this is what their choice of "news" tells them is true. When called on that, they insist that they "don't watch Fox" (or whatever). Yet they parrots the exact same talking points that are being disseminated by Reichwing sources. Apparently blaming others for one's own problems is far easier than trying to solve them. What if they started asking themselves "Why do these people want me to believe that ___ is true?"?
