NFL player sits for US National Anthem but stands for Mexico's National Anthem.

If we recall, Scanny from the Amazon forum was a teacher at one time too. Although glorified babysitter might be a better term for some teachers,

Yes, Scanny was a teacher, minus the "too" part. It's amazing the ppl we allow around our kids. Maybe they aren't as precious to us as we pretend. My youngest is a real special ed teacher; I cannot begin to imagine her saying some of the stuff that's oozed off Toxic's keyboard over the years.

We should probably quit triggering her. The edits and typos and smilies are increasing at an exponential rate. Always a sure sign she's frothing again. I think this is

mega meltdown.jpg #4 for the day.

Kneeling and sitting during the anthem makes no difference. Doesn't matter any more whether they continue to do or do not. Not to the cause. Never did:)

NFL, players reach agreement on league support of activism

NFL player representatives and league officials reached an agreement Wednesday night for the league to provide financial support to players' community-activism endeavors, according to a person familiar with the deliberations.

The tentative agreement does not directly address the ongoing protests by NFL players during the national anthem, multiple people familiar close to the situation said earlier in the evening.

Owners have been hopeful that an agreement with the players on activism would lead all players to voluntarily stand for the anthem. But divisions on the players' side of the issue that became evident earlier Wednesday potentially could lead to the protests continuing even if the deal on activism is in place.

The tentative agreement is subject to final approval by the NFL owners. The owners are scheduled to meet in December in Dallas but might not take up the issue until the annual league meeting in March.

The league and teams are to provide approximately $90 million to $100 million between the onset of the arrangement and 2023 to social causes deemed important by the players, focused in particular on African American communities, a person familiar with the talks confirmed earlier Wednesday. The terms of the league's proposal were first reported Wednesday morning by ESPN.

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell has been extremely active in the discussions and has been dealing directly with players, especially those in a group known as the Players Coalition that is led by Philadelphia Eagles safety Malcolm Jenkins and former NFL wide receiver Anquan Boldin.

Good morning friends and dedicated fans!
(Education is the key...check that inbox-there is no more dedicated stalker than Fowl...well, maybe her toy boy. It's highly amusing to see the misinformation they gather and share:)
Have a super day! Find a way to move on! No more meltdowns-they're bad for your health!
And, what else? Popcorn for breakfast!! Absolutely...popped in fresh lard (good quality, of course)..salt it while it's hot, and cool. Serve with milk or cream, maple syrup (real, of course:), apples, cinnamon, and toasted nuts (if anyone has any left:)
Enjoy!!

That's awesome! WTG, players.

Of course now the RWNJs will claim that the owners are caving in because of their pretend boycott rather than any activism on the part of the players. Wait for it.

They did cave...a bribe to get a couple of dozen players to surrender the silly kneeling and sitting. At least they hope that will shut Kaep and Co. up:)

Can I have the link to the finalized agreement with all the players? Not just the 2 involved now.
Aso, when discussing where the funds will go...what exactly constitutes "causes consider important to AA communities"? Historically black universities? Projects in inner city neighborhoods? "United We Dream and Dream Corps" are just two examples that are sketchy to say the least...We shall see:)
No one has a problem with money going to the right causes. Especially if the protests end;)

The money is going to tennis shoe companies for Michael Jordan's in da hood

That tentative agreement sounds good all the way around. Republican trash will call it hush money, but that won't change the fact that 100 billion will go to worthy causes like
poverty aleviation etc in black communties. I love knowing that hillbilly ticket money will be diverted to people they hate. :)

Always wonderful to see Toxic in a good mood in the morning.
It means all the time she has spent taking care of stray dogs paid off!
They licked her like no one will!:-)

If they want to work on problems in the black community, they should focus on how to stop the current 3 out of 4 having bastard babies and how to lower the every 1 in 3 1/2 getting food stamps.

I call it wasting money. How many billions, possibly trillions, have been put into the black communities to alleviate poverty only to have 1 in every 3 1/2 still get food stamps. Perhaps blacks should do their part by not continuing to have so many black babies and committing a disproportionately high crimes. I love knowing that no matter how much you waste, I mean spend, on such things, history has shown it won't work. You can't fix problems caused by something other than lack of money by throwing more money at it.
