NFL player sits for US National Anthem but stands for Mexico's National Anthem.

I think he does it out of disrespect for the Just-Us system.

The majority in the crowd may indeed stand in respect for the flag, but there are a lot who talk and scratch their ass.

In college, the anthem is played while the teams are still in the locker rooms. The NFL should follow that lead.

Now I agree with that point.

He does it to get attention. And I disagree. Most in the stands are respectful and stand.
I would be fine if the NFL played the anthem before the teams came out. But many players wish to be there for the anthem and the raising of the flag. More than do not.

So what?

Does he not have the freedom to do whatever he wants, stand and sit for whomever of whatever he wants?

Many in the same stadium that he was in were eating hot dogs, talking to other fans, and scratching their asses during the anthem.

Hit me with how 'bad' NFL ratings are while sports that 'support the flag' are doing so wonderfully with attendance.

yes , he can be a bitter miserable black man like you, living among all of Americas riches but still somehow miserable.
That is his choice.

And heres a little tid bit I will drop on you while we are on the subject. If you happen to be at a game with my father in attendance, or one of his army buds, you will stand for the national anthem

Then why doesn't he take his "disrespect for the Just-Us system," as you call it, to them? Neither our country nor our flag has anything to do with his "complaint" then, does it?

It absolutely does.

African-Americans have been in this country for over 400 years .. only granted basic human rights for 52 years ... and still racially prosecuted. I can post about 100 pages of evidence of that truth.

If the protests are uncomfortable .. that's how they weren't meant to be.

Bullshit! You bring it on yourselves. This is a perfect example.

Protests are meant to get attention.

'Most' is not all, and those who aren't in the 'most' far outnumber NFL players on the field, kneeling or not.

Many payers don't really care about when or where the anthem is played. It's an over-blown exercise in false 'patriotism.'

My dad and brother, both veterans, were at a local game and some idiots decided not to stand for the Anthem, they walked up to where they were and called them out for the maggots they were in front of their friends, posse, whatever that meager looking crowd called themselves. And not one of them said a word, just sat there cowering like the little girls they were.. So beware, people that take offense to disrespecting the flag are everywhere. Don't end up pi$$ing your pants in front of your friends.
