NFL Ratings Up / Colin Kaepernick Receives Prestigious Harvard Award

That's hilarious.....is that the "copyrighted image"?
(If y'all want to think you're "winning", then you go right ahead and think that...)

Because you don't use reply with quote, nobody knows what the fuck you're talking about.
What kind of half ass teacher were you?

Sure, why don't you school us on what black people think. Or, we school you, because you don't even understand the culture.

Trump and his minions are behind the NFL protests and virtually the only ones who seek the demise of the NFL and its black players. A relative few black people have been protesting against various things about NFL play for years, but none of them seek its demise.

This is why I say you cherry-pick what you want to hear and ignore everything else.

I apologize for reading and listening to black people speak. I can just shut up and be a white virtue signaler and think NFL ratings actually mean something. In the meantime I'm off to watch the pre-game shows while wearing my Nike gear.

fwiw BAC, i'm currently wearing a 'SC shirt with a Nike logo, my Nike basketball shorts and a 49ers hat. If I was a liberal you and others would thank this post for Cawacko being woke as fvck. I'm not so I know you guys won't and that's fine. And I'm going out to watch games in a bit (Niners don't play until tomorrow night when we will take down the Cheese Heads). So I'm doing everything you ask people to do in your declaration of victory.

I haven't asked you to do a goddamn thing.

What the fuck are you talking about?

I can't tell if you've ever listened to black people, but even if you do, that hardly makes you an authority on black life and culture.

As I've said, just continue to make up whatever makes you comfortable.

I'm giving myself credit for contributing to the cause. I'm doing my part to keep NFL ratings and Nike's stock price up.

That's your choice. I haven't asked you to do one damn thing about the NFL, Kaepernick, Nike, black people, or anything else.

An authority I am not. Far from it in fact. But I do read and listen. It's why I ask you questions. In fact I'm still curious to hear your responses from the discussion we started the other day where you said you felt economic growth or power couldn't come without political power. I'm curious why you believe that. And at least on a local level blacks have achieved political power where there are multiple big cities with black mayors, police chiefs and school superintendents.

Cool .. interesting ,, but let me get back to you after this game.

thanks

Like the Cleveland Browns, NFL ratings are beating expectations
"The NFL is having a good year — relative to last year and certainly relative to the TV environment as a whole," said Robert Seidman, founder of the website Sports TV Ratings.

Colin Kaepernick Receives Prestigious Harvard Award For Black Excellence

Former NFL player Colin Kaepernick received Harvard’s prestigious W.E.B. Du Bois medal on Thursday for his tireless protests of police brutality and racial inequality.

The medal is given to people who have “made significant contributions to African and African-American history and culture” as well as “individuals who advocate for intercultural understanding and human rights,” according to Harvard’s Hutchins Center for African & African American Research.

In his acceptance speech, Kaepernick spoke about members of a high school football team he met in Oakland, California.

“I feel like it’s not only my responsibility, but all our responsibilities as people that are in positions of privilege, in positions of power, to continue to fight for them and uplift them, empower them,” he went on. “Because if we don’t, we become complicit in the problem.”

Midterms on the way ... life is good.

Whenever I wish to learn more about what the black community is all about, I always turn to some obvious backwater inbred redneck peckerwoodass white supremacist for the real scoop.

It's interesting going back to re-read this thread in light of the Jay Z agreement with the NFL. First the denial that there were black folks protesting the NFL based on Kaepernick not having a job (which was a fact and still is). And the close relationship with several NFL owners and Trump. Now you have people claiming this was a terrible deal by Jay Z and he's giving cover to the NFL for its racism and Kaep still not having a job.

The NFL is still the most popular sport in the U.S. But funny reading the various denials about what was happening based on Presidential politics.
