Trump has a lot to hide. Nixon was nailed with back taxes when his were aired. Nixon was nailed with a 400,000 dollar tax bill. He said, "the confidentiality of my private finances is less important to me than proving the integrity of the president." It failed in every way.
Trump would likely be in worse trouble.
However ,Trump's taxes shall be given to the head of Ways and means. Not much wriggle room in that.

The IRS is so inept, they have never been able to detect what Trump is supposedly hiding? How do you know he's hiding anything?

Of course, Trump can release his tax returns.

Republican Romney's tax return, when he was running, showed he was very generous, giving several times more to charity than all the current Democratic candidates combined. Yet, the lib media gave Romney to credit for his generosity. Nor, has the media given the Democrats any grieve for their shocking degree of stinginess, which is also hypocritical because they want to raise out taxes.

The media would obsess with Trump's tax return, using it to bash him, even if there's nothing wrong with it. Trump should keep his returns private. Most certainly, Trump's return will show he has practically no taxable income, which will cause media shrieks about a billionaire paying no taxes.

Billionaires and rich companies (Apple, etc.) pay very little in taxes. The working poor (without government handouts) pay a higher percent in total taxes than the rich. The more money you have, the smaller percent of your income goes to taxes.

The data proves you wrong. You are either lying, or stupid. I'm going with stupid.

It's never been a requirement for elected office. Billionaires get audited every year. If he was committing crimes, don't you think he would have been arrested by now?

You dishonest hacks on the left seldom think past the boorish talking points you have been fed by FAKE news.

No the wealthy do not get audited. The IRS does not get after the wealthy because their cases are time-consuming and require a huge staff. They know think they get more bang per per buck auditing the middle class. That is why you should be careful when doing your taxes.

One thing for sure, it appears President Nixon never committed treason, engaged in Russian dirty money laundering and released his tax returns under audit? Yet tRump a fake president and thus far and exception to the rule at having a free pass to screw the world. Additionally, tRump a Russian dirty money laundering criminal and I believe the first so-called president in history who used Russians and treasonous GOPers to lawlessly hack and rig his way into the White House just to be a demagogue, global menace and a thieving tyrant against the taxpayer, etc. In comparison to tRump, President Nixon was a amateur who doesn't scratch the surface of the deplorable crimes against humanity and the laws that this demagogue and treasonous imposter tRump has done:

Nixon released his tax returns under audit. Why can't Trump?

He indicated in an Associated Press story that he would do so after the audit ends, which may not happen before November.

Yet here's the thing: There's nothing preventing Trump from releasing his tax returns now. Not the IRS, not the law, not even precedent.
Turns out Richard Nixon publicly released his tax returns while they were under audit in 1973, at the height of the Watergate investigation.
But Watergate wasn't the reason, according to tax historian Joe Thorndike.

In the summer and fall of that year, "Nixon was engulfed by a controversy over his personal taxes. An outsize charitable donation was the proximate cause, but the scandal expanded to include numerous issues with the returns Nixon had filed between 1968 and 1972," Thorndike noted in a soon-to-be-published paper. Nothing makes Trump special. He simply doesn't want to release his tax returns. He isn't required to.

WRONG. See CBO figures of tax distribution among income levels here, which also contains charts of percentage of income paid. It is time to put this particular stupid myth to rest.

..or the first fake president who recruited Russians to lawlessly hack and rig the election in his favor, and by soliciting Russians on video in itself is a criminal act but thus far tRump has been given a free pass to screw the law.

Yes, he ignored that for 50 years, candidates wanted to prove they were honest and not committing financial crimes or evading taxes. Trump's taxes would show the opposite and that is why he refused to release them. His followers are fine with a money laundering and bank fraud.

So you accuse your neighbor of tax fraud because he didn't show you his tax return. Gotit.

Still running with that moronic lie?

Page 173 V I: Ultimately, the investigation did not establish that the Campaign coordinated or conspired with the Russian government in its election-interference activities.

Barr: Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein and I have concluded that the evidence developed during the Special Counsel's investigation is not sufficient to establish that the President committed an obstruction-of-justice offense.

1) Trump is a conservative. The Russians are liberals. Why would the Russians WANT Trump??
2) The election system is distributed over many independent offices and is not connected to the internet.
3) We already know the 'Russian dossier' is fiction.
