No evidence White House involved in ‘Fast and Furious’

Here's the thing about lefties and righties. Both tend to minimize the crap THEIR side does and to demonize the crap the OTHER side does. Bush et al lied about WMD's in Iraq, they lied about Iraq's involvement with Al Qaeda, and righties accused anyone that called them on it as being unpatriotic and loving the terrorists. Obama lied about closing Gitmo, lied about his dislike of the Patriot Act and has basically continued the foreign policy of Bush, and Lefties claim that any criticism of Obama is only political and because the right doesn't like black people being in charge. This is why our system of government is no longer working. We allow the fringes of both parties to dictate to the entire nation. This is not the government that our founders envisioned anymore and it is because both the left and the right have done everything they can to demonize the other side and destroy any attempts at compromise.

I love this. May I title it? How about "Paen to the Moderate Centrist."

They're just brown people, what do Democrats care about dead brown people?

I know the actual facts of the case. (though I'm not interested in discussing them with known hacks and liars) You and Sf are the biggest political hacks on this board, bar none.

I lived through the 90's.

I laugh every time I see this nonsense. And that's all it is. Nonsense.

I personally don't care. The way I see it, the documents that are the subject of the assertion of the executive privilege speak to who discussed and ordered X (whatever X may be). Those documents aren't necessary to establish that X was illegal or whatever it is the Republicans think they have here. If the Republicans establish some illegal conduct, maybe I'd care. But they haven't.

Oh come on. Issa did term Obama the "most corrupt administration in the history of the American Presidency". And on top of that Internet Hacks Extraordinaires Superfreak and Damo have expressed outrage.

Surely that's establishment enough for anyone!

IMPEACH!!!!!

Murder is illegal. deliberately giving criminals guns that lead to the murder of a US citizen is illegal.
Supplying criminals with weapons in a foreign country that leads to the death of that country's civilians is an act of war.

(1) Guns don't kill people. People kill people.

(2) It's stuff like the "act of war" thing that leave me generally disinterested in the whole thing. I mean, that's just transparent bullshit. If you have an actual grievance with this program you don't have to come up with the "act of war" nonsense.

LMAO... when the US Government hands the gun to a criminal, you find no accountability ?

What would you call it if another government deliberately handed assault weapons to criminals in the US known for murdering civilians, who then in turn killed our civilians?

To call it nonsense just shows how partisan you are.

You are both being pretty ridiculous just to zing Darla.

Quite funny given that it was Darla who came on once again just to spaz out and call us hacks and liars. which is doubly funny in that she is the only person I know that has restated my position and then called me a liar for my position.

Funny, I thought it was the Republicans who wanted us to "war" on the illegals who they believe are involved with the cartels and running drugs. I thought they wanted us to clean up Mexico?

All hyperbole about Dems not liking Brown people aside, if you know the facts how can you support the administration at all on this. While not even remotely the most corrupt administration in history, this President has lied so many times I don't know how anyone can support him. He distrusted the Patriot Act as Senator Obama, he signed the re-authorization as President Obama. He called raising the debt ceiling irresponsible as Senator, He promised to close GITMO. He continues to use Rendition, Use of FISA warrants are up under his leadership. This guy has carried on so many of the Bush policies I am certain there will be a seat at the Bush family thanksgiving for him and Michelle. Though not a bible thumper, I see a lot of truth in the saying about easier to see the speck in the other guys eye rather than the beam in yours.

Where were these Republicas who are outraged when the Bush administration claimed Executive Privldege 6 times?

Did Bush claim Exe. Priv. to stonewall an ongoing Congressional into the Justice Dept....???

This investigation has nothing to do with the president unless he was privy to the "Fast and Furious" scheme.....he has no legitimate reason to use EP if the
issue doesn't effect him.....

Um... funny... but don't you think you should let the Mexican authorities know about it? Also, how did F&F clean up Mexico? It did the exact opposite. It provided murderous thugs with weapons to kill civilians.

No evidence White House involved in ‘Fast and Furious’

Of course there is no evidence......wtf do you think the investigation is for, if not to gather evidence, and the president and Holder are both
stonewalling the gathering of evidence to protect somebody's ass.......

Rana ain't real big on common sense and logical thinking....

(1) Obama voted for the Patriot Act reauthorization as a Senator. It should be no surprise that he signed the re-authorization as President.

(2) If you didn't support raising the debt ceiling, you're an idiot. There is no "centrist' position here. Either you do it and the government can pay its debts, or you don't and things go to shit pretty quickly. Obama as Senator did the idiot thing.

(3) GITMO can't be closed by the President alone.

(4) FISA and Rendition were basic counter-terrorism tools before President Bush and they continue to be after Bush. Also, too, you seem to be confusing Extraordinary Rendition and Rendition. They aren't the same thing. Obama stopped Extraordinary Rendition. Also, too, the problem with Bush wasn't obtaining and using FISA warrants. It was conducting surveillance on American citizens without first obtaining FISA warrants.

(5) Name one genuine Bush program that Obama continued (aside from the Patriot Act, which Obama voted to reauthorize as a Senator) as opposed to programs that existed before Bush that Bush abused. There are real things to be upset with Obama about (like authorizing the assassination of American citizens, for starters) but the "he continued Bush policies" charge is pretty weak.
