No more Kneeling for NFL

I didn't make it up. I was misinformed, checked my source, realized I was misinformed and took back my statement. More than most on here would admit to. If it makes you feel better to call me a liar then so be it.

You lied about the source of your statement.

You said Tim Tebow was your source. That was a lie, and you haven't taken that back, have you?

Confess.

It's really 2 completely different viewpoints on patriotism.

I think dissent IS patriotic. Dissent is what made the country what it is today - starting w/ "no taxation without representation," all the way through freeing the slaves, women's suffrage, worker's rights, antiwar movements, civil rights, and dozens of other instances where people spoke up & acted up to effect positive change.

Trump isn't about that. I consider Trump to be very anti-American - he doesn't support, encourage & celebrate our traditional rights & freedoms. He sees them as a threat.

As usual, you take the darkest view of Trump as possible in your analysis and it leads you astray.

If Trump is being cynical, it’s that he sees an issue that is a political winner so he positions himself accordingly. And he does this consistently: he did it mostly recently when he called MS-13, animals. The leftists in the media were triggered by the comment [many even going as far as to lie about what Trump said]; Trump’s instincts about how a majority of Americans feel about the issue are dead-on—so he doubled down on it.

And he does this sort of thing to the left ALL THE TIME lol.

Whether Trump truly cares about disrespecting the flag and/or the anthem or not is politically irrelevant—because he’s on the right side of the issue in that sense.

The man overcame the odds to be elected president for a reason.

That's all it is for him - red meat for his base. A good line at rallies.

No one is more cynical than Trump. He is not a patriot. He overcame the odds because people are gullible.

Go ahead and finish your thought lol...and they are Deplorable for being against the kneelers and are probably racist yada, yada, yada.

Some are racist for sure. And I don't think a lot of them understand what it means to be American.

I don't have much respect for Trump supporters in general. Trump is a complete con man - as obvious as it gets. And most don't see that.

They see it just fine. They just ignore it because Trump represents them in the deepest sense, more so than any other politician who comes to mind. It's now okay to be openly racist, supportive of white supremacists including Nazis, disdainful of immigrants, denigrating towards women, pseudo-Christian, dishonest, unfaithful, obese, and filled with rage.

The "filled with rage" part is always eye opening. Trump supporters appear to have gotten everything they ever wanted in a president but boy do they come off as some rage filled people. Why?

Your misapprehension of the emotional state of others is not necessarily accurate, liar.

What an excellent question. You would think that now that The Tangerine Chosen One has been selected and represents the Amerika they have always dreamed of, things would be smooth sailing. There would be some good-sportsmanlike pats on the back for us Bernie and Hillary and humanity voters. There would be great cheer and offers to join them in BBQing the Constitution, lynching some brown ppl, tossing other brown ppl into the Rio Grande, dancing around the nearest missile silo, and flags for everyone.

Instead, all we got are these disgruntled angry apologists who keep telling us that Trump IS THE BESTEST WINNINGIST EVERIST and all that Mueller stuff is fake news, along with that Stormy stuff and that Cohen stuff and that rising-gas-prices stuff and that NK stuff and that Palestine/Israel dead Gaza ppl stuff and that failed Great Wall of Mexico-Repelling stuff.

And how about all that promised health care reform and infrastructure rebuilding stuff? What's to be angry about that not happening?

This is what conservative retards do when they cannot refute the greatness of someone not a contard -- they call them liars. You know, like Obama's mistaken "you can keep your doctor" is not a mistake (which he apologized for and clarified) due to faulty information. No, it's a LIE.

But all those 5,978 lies Trump has told just since being selected are jokes.

And horse shit it remains.

Who is envious of being white?

Stop being obtuse.

Poli said that whites might be envious of so many blacks being players.

And you said that was horse shit.

But apparently you are the kind who cannot acknowledge a mistake on your part...so play this game and I will continue to let you know you are playing it.

NFL owners are making a business decision. Players can try to negotiate it out, but under the terms they currently sign on for the owners have a business right to ban kneeling on the field.

Actually...that may not be the case. It is something that will have to be decided.

I'm loving it. I always enjoy when someone I disagree with makes the problem worse for themselves...and that is what the NFL is doing. They are making their position worse and worse.

He did win...I'll give you that.

But he is an abomination as a human being...and I still find it disturbing that so many people can overlook the fact that he is one of the most immature, incompetent, thoroughly disgusting individuals ever to sit in that mighty office.

By the way, I don't think Thing takes the "darkest view possible" of Donald Trump. My view of that disgusting abomination is much darker.
