Given that Bernie Madoff, bilked thousands of people out of billions of dollars in his Ponzi scheme and got a bail of $10 million that was later reduced, I'd say even $175 million in bail is completely ridiculous.

Scam Bank Fraud Man (Sam Bankman-Freid) who's cryptocurrency scam bilked billions from investors got a bail of $250 million. Again, a half-a-billion bail for not having taken even one dollar and no identifiable victim(s) in Trump's case is outrageous.
Even Michael Milken's (the "Junk Bond King") bond for having bilked billions out of customers--and he got 6 felony convictions and 10 years in prison--was about $570 million in today's money.
But Trump? A judge that has used song lyrics to justify judgements in the past--Yep, he likes to use Pink Floyd among others--smacks Trump with a half-a-billion judgement after admitting himself there was no loss or victim(s)... Yea, sure...
