The president does not control grocery prices in the U.S. Instead, “prices generally are set by sellers, and price change typically comes from market forces,” according to Steve Reed, an economist at the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. Market forces are economic factors that influence the price and quantity of goods and services, driving supply and demand in a market.

“There is no direct control of food prices by the president or any branch of government,” Reed told VERIFY.

MAGA sure likes to whine about the implications of unrestricted Capitalism. All while they claim anything less is evil Socialism.

Wut? It's not a matter of excusing or not excusing. It's about accepting expert facts instead of maga lies.
What "expert" facts? Tbe "expert fact" that 6' of social distancing was suppose to stop the spread of covid but 3 years later, the "expert" fauci said the 6' social distancing thing "sort of just appeared". Are you insane? Do you people even take a second to THINK or do you just spew whatever stupid thought pops into your head?

Here's the deal pussycat.
Given a normal growing season for any given product, the cost to the consumer will be directly tied to energy prices. The sooner you understand that fact, the sooner you might sound smarter.
You're drifting, tomcat. Read the article. Nobody said that the cost of energy isn't a factor, just that it's not the only factor. You magas will go to any length to blame Biden/Harris and government for something that's largely out of their control. I bet you think food prices will drop magically if trump is elected.

“As we’ve seen across the economy, price increases are driven by a perfect storm of factors, including inflation, rising product costs driven by supply chain pressures, a nationwide labor shortage, and increases in costs for inputs such as energy and commodity ingredients,” Strange said in an email."
