Do I see a guarantee from obstructionist Righties that, IF Democrats agree to raising the debt limit for a short period, that obstructionist Righties won't come back and hold the country hostage while they attempt to defund Obama Care again?

Just as there is no guarantee the Dems won't hold the country hostage to more irresponsible spending increases.

They have lost and they know it, that is why they are not even mentioning Obamacare anymore. Now President Obama is just turning the screws as tightly as he dares. If he turns them too much it might backfire, but if he does not turn them enough he wont get maximum benefit from the Republicans screw up. Historically the Democrats don't turn the screws enough, but lets see what happens.

Obama is playing for Democratic House next year, that's his goal.

They know they cannot pursue Obama care NOW... they have hardly lost the issue. They recognize this is not the time (no matter how much they wanted it to be). Now Obama is holding the country hostage just as the Reps did, all to try and score political points. Yet you have no problem with it.

I never said I have no problem with it. I have a problem with this type of politics and I think something needs to be changed. Obama holding firm at this point, MIGHT be what it takes to get a more global resolution, which is what we need at this point. The governing by holding the nations well being hostage has to end.

The Republicans shut down the government with the stated goal of defunding Obamacare, we all know that is not going to happen..... That, to me, is a loss for the Republicans.

If the Auburn Tigers start a football game with the goal of getting more points than the other team, but then fail to do so, I consider that a loss.

I see you finally learned to spell negotiate, the American people are getting tired of funding your welfare for votes program. The American people are already paying to much in taxes. We are tired of neglecting things for our kids, so others can have a free ride, and use our money to raise their kids.
