What logic is there in that? Trump is not confused but profoundly stupid. He says shocking things that will not increase his base. He drove Puerto Ricans and Latinos away. His remark about women was another act of ignorance, like it or not. It appears what he plans for America requires him to lose . The takeover is what he has planned. Other wise he is a floundering fool saying stupid shit and does not know better.
