Yep.

I have never yet figured out how you "make America great again" by destroying the very things that make us great. Democracy. Rule of law. Our Constitution. Equality for all (including ppl you don't like). Freedom of the press. Voting. Our economy, one of the world's strongest.

In fact, I've never figured out what they think is not so great about our country that it needs to be made great again. Maybe I should watch Fox "News" to find out. Or poke my eyes out, a better proposal. lol

The MAGAts seek to destroy the federal and state governments and suspend the Constitution so they can create an authoritarian government with the white supremacists at the top and everyone else beneath them. The want to create an American Empire with Dear Leader Donnie as supreme ruler. A fourth empire following in the footsteps of Trump's ancestors.

When Magat's go one about when "Murica was great" they are simply referring to a time when things where much easier for white men, as a whole.

Fact is compromise in marriage is hard. In the 'olden days' men did not really have to compromise. It was up to the woman to conform and 'make her marriage work', even if he was a drunk abuser as the cost to women was so very high in divorce, as i point to upthread. That is why when you saw so many of these 'great men' given life time achievement awards and speaking, near the end of their lives, they would talk about 'what a saint' their wives were for 'putting up with them and making the marriage work'. No, not all men, were drunken abusers, but if you were those were the 'great' times as your wife would suck it up and stay with you.

Now you have two people, as both partners need to find compromise, and that is very hard, thus the divorce rate. Think about like work. If employees have the exact same power as bosses, suddenly it is much harder to keep employees.


Aspect 2 is now those same white men have to compete with minorities and women for the upper tier jobs. America was great when all those spots were reserved for them. And even if, you did not get an upper tier job, as a white male, at least the women and minorities would not have them either. That kept the white male value much higher for women, few of which who had any path to independent living so even pairing with an average earner male, was a big deal. Now it is harder as women have more choice, and many minorities are doing much better, making many of magats feel inadequate.

So MAGA harkens back to a time white males saw as ideal, because it was easier FOR THEM alone and life with out competition from any others (women or minorities) means you are winning even when you are not winning.

The reason I did not get involved in a family business was that I did not want to have to support relatives who did not want to work in the business. I did get involved in other businesses, and in fact, ran several. You have had opportunities to start other businesses, but chose not to, because you are lazy.

In addition to your laziness, your lack of gratitude stands out. Our society has given you so much, for nothing from you, and you want to destroy our society. You talk about getting revenge on those that work. We support you, but that is not enough for you. You want to also be told how great you are, while you are being lazy.

They want to be the honored father of the household, without getting married, or even supporting their family financially.

There was a Republican politician a few years ago who complained that he wanted dinner on the table from his girlfriend every day. He lived with his girlfriend in her house, that she paid for by working her job at a bank. So to sum up, he had not married her, lived in her house, and lived off her job. Shouldn't he be making her dinner?
