I could have been content with Obama .. but as you know, my major issue is war. When he started warmongering, I jumped ship with the quickness .. and the more I dug, the uglier he became. You and I went through the entire election cycle together and I know remember I repeatedly said Obama would not lose because of his race .. and I created a thread where I stated that I was beginning to have doubts about his character before the general even began.

I never expected him to show up at the White House wearing a dashiki.

Just be reasonably honest and I'm cool.

Dude, YOU are hardly in any position to challenge Darla's character. She's a far more intelligent and learned poster than you are. This site is blessed to have her, Annie, Lady T, and other women who express their thoughts with passion and wisdom.

Whether you're a racist or not, you often smell like one.

Surely even you must recognize why someone would draw that conclusion.

i have no idea why someone would draw that conclusion, none. i have never once uttered or implied anything racist. it is a bullshit lie that seeks to assinate my character rather than the points i raise. ad hominem, nothing more.

I respect and like you my brother even though there are times we disagree.

I like fighters, and Annie is a fighter. In fact, she's a good fighter becomes she comes with intelligence. I respect that. I can't think of a more contentious issue than Israel, and although we are on opposite sides of the issue she and I can have a fierce debate on it and still respect the other's perspective. I want that conversation. I want to know the how's and why's of the opposing position. I reiterate, I'm glad Annie is here.

I like Darla because she's a fighter .. of course when you go a couple of rounds with Darla you're going to come a way with some bruises :) but I respect that. We need more fighters like that.

Care4all and I once got into a viscous knock-down drag out Ali/Frasier slugfest about Hillary Clinton. She didn't back up and was passionate about what she believed. I like that. What I like even more is that we've cyber kissed and made-up and can see each other as good people. Desh is like that too.

I like strong opinions and people who can present them intelligently. Kinda' why I like you brother.

btw, do you mind giving just one example where i looked or smelled like a racist? i'm really curious...tbo, i have known plenty of dems to throw out label out at me (especially for disagreeing with obama) and when i ask for evidence of what i said or implied that i am racist....never get it, not yet.

what really pisses me off, is just becuase a white guy says something about black people or black politics or whatever else is so-called black, it looks or smells or is racist. i don't go around making up stuff about you and i woudl appreciate it if you want not make up stuff about me.

I don't think I called you a racist .. I said you smelled like one .. and skip over to the "Inauguration" thread and you'll see what I mean.

And, if you've missed it, lots of people say things about black people and black politics without leaving a stench. Criticism isn't the problem.

That being said, I'll try real hard not to mischaracterize you.
