The FBI admitted Friday they interviewed the now-deceased Boston Marathon bombing suspect Tamerlan Tsarnaev two years ago and failed to find any incriminating information about him.

What I hate is two-faced hypocrites who behave one way when a (D) is next to a politician's name, as opposed to if they have an (R) next to it. I guess I was just raised in a culture where we're all judged by the same standards, and held to the same criteria, regardless of political affiliation, or anything else, for that matter.

Guaranteed: If this bombing had happened under Bush, and it was discovered that his FBI had the guy two years ago and didn't get him off the streets, it would be all we would hear night and day from every talking head liberal news hack in America. As it stands, this happened under Obama, so we can anticipate NOT A PEEP!

Please. Unless the guy had something on him like a note called "my plan to bomb Boston"...what would they be going on?

Let's not pretend it's anything like the memo the Bush admin got about Al Qaeda being determined to strike the US, probably with airplanes, to which Bush responded to his aides, "well, you've covered your ass now."

There is a good example of something you blamed off on Bush, when it was EXACTLY the same kind of thing. What was he supposed to do with a memo? You can't apprehend someone based on a memo, you have to make an arrest if a crime is committed, but no crime had been committed. Of course, this didn't mean a goddamn thing to liberals who were politicizing anything in order to destroy Bush.

weren't you bitching about Clinton not apprehending OBL when Sudan supposedly offered him up...with NO evidence that he had done diddly against America?

"As first reported by CBS News correspondent Bob Orr, the FBI interviewed Tsarnaev, the elder brother of at-large bombing suspect Dzhokhar A. Tsarnaev, at the request of a foreign government to see if he had any extremist ties, but failed to find any linkage.

Both Tsarnaev brothers were legal permanent residents of the U.S. There is no evidence so far that either brother received any tactical training.
CBS News correspondent John Miller reports it is likely Russia asked to have the elder Tsarnaev vetted because of suspected ties to Chechen extremists.

The FBI is likely to have run a background check, running his name through all the relevant databases, including those of other agencies, checking on his communications and all of his overseas travel. Miller reports that culminated in a sit-down interview where they probably asked him a lot of questions about his life, his contacts, his surroundings. All of this was then written in a report and sent it to the requesting government."

Are you referring to 9/11?

The first hijackers to arrive in the United States were Khalid al-Mihdhar and Nawaf al-Hazmi, who settled in the San Diego area in January 2000.
followed by three hijacker-pilots, Mohamed Atta, Marwan al-Shehhi, and Ziad Jarrah early in the summer of 2000
The fourth hijacker-pilot, Hani Hanjour, arrived in San Diego in December 2000.

How come Clinton didn't catch any of these hijackers.....no notes about AQ or Osama or hijacking airplanes.....?

What makes anyone think there was any incriminating evidence two years ago? How about if he got radicalized after that?

The news said he went to Russia last year and stayed for six months. That would be 2012.

Clinton didn't get that memo. Bush DID, and it's documented - and he did nothing about it. Except to say that his staff had "covered their asses."

We should rename this thread "The Bush apologism thread." Anytime you've got Dix AND bravs, it's a party.

:rolleyes: The point is that it's possible he didn't have a record or terrorist ties when the FBI vetted him two years ago, and got his terrorist marching orders last year instead.

Sudan offered to turn him over to the US and Clinton declined. He could have easily been charged for the bombings of two American embassies in Kenya and Tanzania, a base in Saudi Arabia, the attack on the USS Cole, or the 1993 WTC attack. I would say this puts Osama in a bit of a different category than whatever nameless persons were implicated in the memo Bush received.

But this isn't about Clinton's failures, or Bush's... it's about Obama not being held to the same standard by liberals. You see, Obama is Liberal and Black, and by golly, if there is a such thing as reincarnation, I want to come back as a black liberal! Because you can apparently get away with anything, you can't be held accountable, can't be criticized, and never are responsible for your actions.
