The unemployment rate went up under Bush when he succeeded Clinton. The unemployment rate has not risen under Obama. According to your logic Bush wanted more poor.

I'm not following you. Bush 43 implemented welfare reform and got lots of people of of it. The Obama eliminated those reforms and got them back on.

Only the truly misinformed would equate the reported unemployment rate in 2008 with what it is today and say that there are the same number of people not working. The reality is that due to The Obama many people have become chronically unemployed, have given up trying, are now only working part time or have accepted jobs paying less than their previous potential. By every economic measure The Obama has failed.
