Obama Embarrasses Republicans by Pointing Out That They're Playing Politics

The irony here is your constant repetition (parroting) of the same catch phrases (mantras). :)

 Okay mastermind, let me explain it to you: I can only respond to what is being stated. YOU neocon numbskulls keep spewing versions of the same old crap that the GOP punditry has been (and continues) to fog horn, then I call it what it is "parroting"...because like a parrot, you seem incapable or unwilling to accept any other information contrary to what you've learned.

You don't want the LABEL, stop being a willfully ignorant neocon parrot. That way, I don't have to repeat myself.

But waaayyy closer than many who voted for him expected.

In some aspects that seems to be the case.

What they payed no attention to while they danced to the beat is who it was behind Obama's door.

Oh, they paid attention....they just didn't have much of a choice (Obama vs. McCain). And given our "money talks" system and the demonstrated conniving of our two party system to freeze out viable third party candidates, you can't blame them for celebrating.

You cannot be the recipient of more money from Wall Street than any candidate in history and at the same time be about "change." That is simply not possible.

Good point...but also acknowledge that Wall St. is bitching and moaning about what miniscule change there is.

The plutocracy knows the American people very well and they figured out how to maintain control beyond George Bush.

They gave us a nicer one that looks better .. and can actually speak.

Not quite......they would have preferred Hillary....and Edwards shot himself in the foot. The "powers that be" are not as powerful as they would have you believe. Not yet, anyway.

Once again for the cheap seats and the mentally impaired: THE FINAL VERSIONS HAVE NOT BEEN MADE AVAILABLE. This means, as the President pointed out last night, that both party members of the House & Senate have to add/subtract to the Bill. So what the WSJ is harping on IS OLD, OUTDATED NEWS. Got that bunky? I hope so, because I'm damned tired of repeating the painfully obvious to willfully ignorant neocon parrots.

The fact remains, Dems are asking for this massive tax increase - and you seem to be pissed off I am pinting that fact out

It is also why some Dems are not supporting the bill.

It is not old and outdated news to show a top rate of near 60% - it is proving how the Dem party is going back to the days of Jimmy Carter

We exist in a plutocracy my good brother. Wall Street and the plutocrats get to choose whomever they want to be the president and there is no more glaring example of that truth than George W. Bush .. TWICE.

They own your vote and they are the only ones who get to do the counting.

Additionally, the correlation between who wins and who gets the most money is obvious and I'm sure I don't have to tell you.

They preferred Obama, the ultimate in mindfuck politics. Hillary had too many enemies and wouldn't fool as many as the first black president.

There is a reason why Obama immediately turned the keys to economics over to Geithner and Larry "Non-white life is less valuable and women are stupid" Summers .. both of whom supported Bush economic policies. Notice the absence of all the people who were against the very policies Obama campaigned against .. like a guy who won the Nobel Prize in economics.

I could go on for a long time on this issue my friend. FISA, war, Africa, attacks on civil liberties .... and on.

Again my statements based in facts and are my own and I again challenge you to prove otherwise. :)

No genius, the FACT remains that you made a statement that was WRONG....and I called you on it. Rather than admit the error, you try to ignore your error and pretend that no one has addressed another talking point you've previously parroted. It's been addressed by myself and others time and again. I guess moving the mouse and clicking back to previous posts to READ and Comprehend what has transpired is just too much for you.

It is also why some Dems are not supporting the bill.

Not quite...the Bluedog Dems (Dixiecrats and their northern counterparts) are not all mouthing the exact same platitudes as their neocon driven GOP counterparts...but they are holding up the works on similar talking points.

It is not old and outdated news to show a top rate of near 60% - it is proving how the Dem party is going back to the days of Jimmy Carter

And as your patron saint Ronnie Reagan said, "There you go again". Let me dumb it down for you....if you're giving election results before ALL the polls across the country close, you are giving UPDATES. This means that the information you gave at 7:00 pm is out dated by 8:15 pm. If you don't believe me, toddle down to your local party headquarters and ask one of the folks there. Once you understand, get back to me.

Still not reading the information provided or willing to discuss it, ehh bunky? No matter, Once again, I've reduced you to just repeating yourself ad nauseum....but no matter how many times you do, you can't erase the chronology of the threads for others to read and see your folly. You're finished here.

We exist in a plutocracy my good brother. Wall Street and the plutocrats get to choose whomever they want to be the president and there is no more glaring example of that truth than George W. Bush .. TWICE. We did this dance....and as I said, Obama is NOT what the powers that be had in mind. If he was, there would FAR LESS haggling and nonsense regarding policies. Bottom line, nothing short of a revolution would bring about the immediate changes needed to erase Shrubbism from the face of America. You and I both know that will only happen when the silent majority feels the collective wind whistle up their shorts to ask, "What the hell?"

They own your vote and they are the only ones who get to do the counting.

Not quite yet.....as history shows in local elections you have had the break throughs and exceptions....it's up to the people to get off their butts, put their differences aside and MAKE the changes. Case in point....in NYC the people voted out the Abrams from the Attorney Generals office after his "ruling" on the Tawana Brawley case. Across the nation you've had periodic 3rd Party candidates (for better or worse) win local elections over the dominant 2 parties. It can be done...if people are not afraid of confrontation and calling a spade a spade in public.

Additionally, the correlation between who wins and who gets the most money is obvious and I'm sure I don't have to tell you. True that!

They preferred Obama, the ultimate in mindfuck politics. Hillary had too many enemies and wouldn't fool as many as the first black president. See the first response above. IMHO, Edwards scared the hell out of everyone...but he auto-screwed himself. Obama was not trusted among a lot of black folk, but given the alternative vote (McCain) they didn't have much choice (challenging the 2 Party system hasn't seemed an idea that's popular...go figure).

Tell me about it! I argued with my parents that just because these jokers are working for Obama is no guarantee that they won't screw him over. Obama's idea (and I'm just speculating here) that getting the crooks to help create a better security system is optimistic...to say the least.

I could go on for a long time on this issue my friend. FISA, war, Africa, attacks on civil liberties .... and on.

True, and I could point out that he doesn't sugar coat Shrubbism in each case....but that will just go on and on....;)

Translation - Forget abut the huge tax increase for now, and lets talk about it after it is passed into law. That way it is too late to complain about it

Actually I'm addressing your latest baseless accusation with yet another direct challenge. :)

Small businesses are the backbone of the American economy.

In a recent survey, one-third of small businesses reported cutting benefits. Many have dropped coverage altogether, and many have shed jobs, or shut their doors entirely.

Small businesses are much less likely to offer health insurance. Those that do tend to have less generous plans.

They are getting crushed by skyrocketing health care costs. Because they lack the bargaining power that large businesses have and face higher administrative costs per person, small businesses pay up to 18 percent more for the very same health insurance plans, costs that eat into their profits and get passed on to their employees.

Small business owners would benefit from health care reform because they could purchase coverage through an insurance exchange and receive tax credits in return for providing benefits to employees.

It has taken months to reach this point, and once this legislation passes, we’ll need to move thoughtfully and deliberately to implement these reforms over a period of several years. That is why we should all feel such a sense of urgency about moving this process forward

I am sure they love the fine of 8% if they do not provide coverage for their workers

And are giddy over the proposed sky high tax rates Dems will levy on them to pay for Obamacare

I have posted several times how much the tax increases will jack up tax rates. The Obama supporters have been ignoring them

Not quite what I'm looking for.

Using Medicare and health coverage as examples, let's say biweekly payroll deductions include (rounded) $40 for Medicare and $150 for the employee HC contribution.

If a government bill is passed, the employee contribution of $150 will go away. How much do you think the individual's new tax would be, using these numbers? I've included Medicare to show how much less is deducted for that government coverage than is deducted for employer-provided coverage.

The deduction will go away, but the new higher taxes on the employer and employees will be in place

Even with the massive tax increases, Obamacare will stil not be paid for and will add to the deficit and antional debt

Since it is a fact that companies do not pay taxes, all the tax increases will be passed onto us the consumers

Even the Mayo Clinic went public and said Obamacare will be a disaster for patients. At least Obama and the Dems are consistent - their plan is a disaster for patients, tax payers, and companies

I'm betting that the monthly deduction will be a lot less than what's paid either privately or under employer-sponsored health insurance. When the pool of insureds increases, risk is more widely distributed over the population, plus resources are greater.

Saying there will be "massive tax increases" is fear-mongering and doesn't cut it for me. When we get an actual breakdown on the cost each individual will incur, that's when I can make an informed decision. If somebody can say there will be X amount of tax increase they can just as easily program a computer to show what that works out to for every man, woman and child.

You aso bet on Obama and it came up craps.

Hopw in the hell can you add 30 million illegals, and FORCE people who otherwise would chose not to have ins into taking Obamacare and LOWER the cost?

You can call what the DEMS HAVE PROPSOED AS FEAR MONGERING I call it ignoring reality

I gave you the numbers - you are determined to ignore them. The states of NY and CA will have a higher tax rate then France. That should do wonders for their state economies

That tax increase is on top of any state and local tax increases. On top of the sales taxes, property taxes, and other taxes not collected by the Feds

NY and CA will have a higher tax rate than France?

France has la couverture maladie universelle. I guess residents of CA and NY deserve health care reform.

Ca is bankrupt, and NY is struggling to balance its budget. People are fleeing both states due to the high taxes, and libs wionder why the tax revenues are falling
