Obama: gay partners should have hospital access

Why should gay people have to jump through hoops that straight people do not have to jump through to have their loved ones visit them in the hospital or to make decisions about their care?

I asked this same question, Nigel. And the answer was "cuz they ain't normal".

Just as clarification, SM, what exactly is "normal"?

Why should gay people have to jump through hoops that straight people do not have to jump through to have their loved ones visit them in the hospital or to make decisions about their care?
Why should society as a whole change for 1% of the population, many or most of those who choose this abnormal lifestyle?

Because society can include that small segment of the population without adversely effecting the rest of the population.

By giving this benefit to gays, it does absolutely nothing negative to the rest of the population.

We lose nothing and they gain something. That is a win/win situation.

Yes, yes it is such on onerous change to force on "society" to require people to be able to have their loved ones visit them in the hospital and make decisions regarding their care. I'm not sure "society" could bear that burden.

You and at least two other lib-tards here are trying to work your argument by using emotion. My argument is based on logic and reason.

It is a burden to society to allow the same privileges for the small number of folks that don't fall within societal norms. And there's simply no reason for it, when all they have to do is go to legalzoom dot com and file a simple POA.

Still waiting for specifics of the "burden"....:readit:

Various laws, thousands of hospital's protocols. There are reasons why hospital policies exist, and I don't pretend to be expert on any of them. Not like The One.

I did answer it, just not in the way that you wanted.

You never answered my question the other day on what specific information that you wanted about my Dad's earnings though, and you're obviously still sore about me leading you to the edge of the cliff like that. :)
