no, but they did hit $4.12 for one month just before Bush opened up domestic production.....within weeks they dropped to $1.61.......then Obama got elected and in January of 2009 cancelled Bush's orders.....prices went back up to over $3.......
finally in January of 2015 he announced increases in domestic production.......prices fell to under $2 in a matter of months.......now the idiot wants to cancel it again......

Can you read a chart? Maybe a difference of a few cents, but close enough to be the same in terms of high gas prices effecting the economy.

Bush had the lowest price and the lowest average and the high by a mere 14 cents. I'm sure if the CPI was used it would be even or just a few pennies difference.

Looking at a one time brief spike in gas prices as somehow defining shows how ignorant Rune is. Obama's average prices is higher than Bush for the entire term so far.
The $4.25 lasted less than a month, and that was only because several oil derricks were destroyed in the Gulf Of Mexico by Hurricane Katrina. That's what happens to oil prices when supply is interrupted.
