Obama Looks Like An Idiot - DeMint States the Truth

I had to laugh when I read this, so each senator is given 7 minutes to ask Gen. Patraeus questions. Obama uses up 6 of his minutes to make a long-winded lecture on why the surge sucks then says:
"That, of course, now leaves me very little time to ask questions, and that's unfortunate."

Well duh you moron, if you wanted more time to ask questions don't use up almost all of your question time on your lecture.

Then DeMint nails it with speaking I think for the rest of America with what the Dems are obviously more interested in:
"Sen. Jim DeMint (R-S.C.) followed Obama. He told Petraeus and Crocker, "As you have found, our hearings are more about listening to ourselves than listening to our witnesses." "

Is this the same a-hole who didn't think gays should be teachers.

No idea, but having vouchers would take care of that for all once and for all. Once people have choice in education, then government from both sides can't do anything to force people how their children should be educated.

He also said this past May that WMD's are still "yet to be found" in Iraq, would ban abortion even for rape & incest, and single-handedly put the kabash on a bipartisan bill to aid Katrina victims.

A real winner, there...

Stop...Dano is getting excited.

Doesn't make the joke any less funny in this case.

I wouldn't even really call it a joke; more like a cynical statement about politicians in modern-day America. I would concede that his comment is true about most of them.

In this case, it's a high-profile hearing, and a chance for a Presidential candidate to espouse his views in a public way. I don't love it, but he's not an "idiot" for doing it.

Now, if a Presidential candidate gives a political speech on 9/11, and shuts his website down on the same date, saying "9/11 should not be politicized"....well, that's a different story.

No he's definetely not an idiot for doing it, but he IS an idiot for then complaining that he hardly has any time left to ask questions, I mean hello? Whose fault was that?

He wasn't complaining. He simply made the observation that he had little time left to ask questions are remarked that it was "unfortunate."

What's the problem?

And I'm sure DeMint asked some really tough questions. Let me guess, "The Blessed Surge. Awesome or Most Awesomest?"

Having said that, this always happens at these damn hearings and Obama should have made better use of his allotted time.

Right..................!

The tide is shifting.

I think it's more like 50/50 at this point.

a 50/50 propostion...Blue dress stain vs Red dress stain./..I think it is dinner time...y'all are outta wack! A simple term to deliver the message...R vs L..how rude and immature to say the least!

I'm waiting to hear more from the looney left that wants to get us out of Iraq as soon as possible. To be honest at this point I have no idea who's ahead.

There was a joke?

US troops are dying everyday .. and someone found time for a joke?

Who would be dumb enough to be laughing? .. certainly no one with a loved one stuck in the hell that this asshole was so anxious to send them to, nor anyone who cares about the fate of our troops.
