Fact is, they're getting as much help from the gov't as they can hope to get for a private spill; there are 16 agencies involved, but the cost & liability for the clean-up ultimately lies with BP.
It's so absurd to try to compare this to Katrina, and Bush's woeful handling of that crisis. Yurt...do you have any specifics on where Obama has fallen short? Any public cries for more accountability...any real criticism of his failure to respond or act?

When a disaster caused by MOTHER NATURE strikes, then the leader of this nation must be ready to offer aid and anything else necessary at a moment's notice...and THAT IS WHERE DUBYA FAILED.
When a private corporation causes a gigantic disaster brought on by their own lax oversight...the it is solely the responsibility OF THE CORPORATION AND IT IS THEIR RESPONSIBILITY TO CLEAN IT UP.

No one ever said the DISASTER was caused by the President. But it is undeniable that Bush's response, his promise that they were prepared, and his woeful appointment to FEMA, are worthy of criticism.
That's what you still seem to be missing in all of this. It wasn't "disgusting" to blame Bush; it was perfectly appropriate. You have yet to show anything comparable for Obama here.
You keep trying though; eventually, you'll nail one of these "they did it for Bush, but don't do it for Obama" strawmen...

again...who has obama picked to handle this disaster? because who ever it is has sorely underestimated it and has not adequately prepared for this massive oil leak....same with bush, underestimated the damage and thereby hasn't been prepared
