Obama Took A Selfie At Mandela's Tribute

"just a few seconds earlier the first lady was herself joking with those around her, Cameron and Schmidt included."

I hope this "scandal" is just joking around by you guys... You never knew anymore.

She's a typical woman Jarod. She is hating on her man having a good time. It's a scandal all across American perpetrated by the female species and it's reached the top of our country. There's nothing funny about her behavior. You clearly don't take this issue serious enough. Someone needs to send you to man training.

I just cant tell with you Conservatives anymore, Obama wipes his ass and you start screaming scandal.

Except the certain fact that the only person crying "scandal" is you. What you can't tell us is where your perspective has gone.

Please note that I put the word Scandal in quotes, indicating that I don't believe it to be a scandal. I simply am saying that I cant tell anymore if you Conservatives are joking or not.

Again, since the only person speaking of "scandal" at all is you, it isn't from the right that you got that, that's on you. Personally, I can't care less if the Danish PM takes a selfie with a smiling Obama. Although the man-hugs on the stage when Obama entered were reminiscent of the GWB shoulder rub of Merkel moment. The discomfort on the faces of the other leaders was priceless. (That too is not a "scandal"... just so you'll be clear on that.)

Glad you were clear, because its hard to tell now days!

She doesn't look happy at all while he was talking with the Danish PM. To be fair, she's a bit of a MILF, definitely a hottie among the field of heads of state:

She is married to Stephen Kinnock, the son of the aptly named Welsh Windbag aka Neil Kinnock.

How did this help to celebrate Mandela's life or in any way deepen the respect one would have of the nation he is representing?

Seriously? You are such a hack.

So you have no answer to a rather direct question and your only response is a sad ad hom and you are calling somebody else a hack?

If GWB laughed it up at the Pope's funeral you'd have been all over that. Personally, as I said earlier, I don't care if the Danish PM included him in a laughing selfie at a funeral. I'd personally try to avoid that at a funeral, but I'm old-fashioned that way. (I think it is pretty clear it is her phone, she was holding it with both hands...) But he is supposedly representing all of us, some form of gravitas would be nice, IMO. At least he stopped bowing to everybody he meets.

He did not bow any more than any other president and did so as dictated by decorum. As for "gravitas", I prefer my leaders be real and personal than putting on a gravitas show.

A popes funeral would be different than this event in a stadium where people were dancing and celebrating Mandela's life in a typical African way, with joy and pleasure, not the western way with somber was and sadness.

Have you ever been to a traditional funeral of someone with African roots? It's quite different than a pope's funeral.

Again, what part of that selfie helped to remember Mandela?

As for bowing, yeah, he bowed more than other Presidents. In our history our Presidents have been particularly reticent to bow. We are not subjects, and the foremost of us should not act like one.
