"Yes, we can" was part of Obama's attempt to gain the SEIU endorsement. A frequent rallying cry of striking Hispanic SEIU workers is "Si, se puede" or roughly "Yes, we can." It was first coined by Cesar Chavez and the United Farm Workers and has been adopted by the SEIU and now Obama.

Probably right before they ran those "illegals" out of the nation using tactics only unions seem to think it is okay to use.
 
Just listening to you guys, I predict Obama will be more reviled by the Right than Clinton ever was by the end of his first term. He's actually going to accomplish change and that's going to piss of the Righties who want regression to the 19th century or Jesus to be in the White House.

Since "change" is thrown around by every politician what "change" do you think Obama is going to effect that will so upset those on the right?

Great point because if it was John Edwards the Republicans would have just givien him a free pass.

And the Democrats won't say one bad thing about John McCain because he's also a white male.

What do you think? Their slime machine accused McCain of fathering an illegitimate BLACK child. That was back when Bush was trying to beat him in the primaries. Southern whites hate black people. That's pretty well understood. It's called the Southern Strategy and it was invented by Nixon I believe.

So how about you tell me how the Republican policy would differ against John Edwards and Obama?

Do you think Republicans would vote for Edwards but not vote Obama over McCain because Edwards is white?

Why didn't the South vote for Al Gore or John Kerry who are white?
