There is nothing intrinsically wrong with venture capitalism as it involves considerable risk on the part of the investors. However Bain was mostly involved with private equity and leveraged buyouts, which meant that the target companies were loaded to the rafters with debt on the company's books and the assets sold off.

Let's put this in perspective. We're talking about a government "program" that resulted in the death of ONE US citizen. Not hundreds like happened under Bush's policies or thousands like what happened in Vietnam. ONE death resulting from an operation involving another country. Do you honestly expect the government to risk souring relations with a neighboring country not to mention the absurd spin the Repubs would put on it considering it's an election year?

Perspective. It's all about perspective.

What I hope is happening, and would follow Obama's history of Gotcha campaigning, is that he will encourage this Collage records shit to build to a creshendo, where they compare them to Romney's taxes over and over again, then just at the hight of the media frenzy... he releases them.

Romney then would be faced with more pressure on the taxes.

I got news for ya Jarod, it doesn't matter how much, or how little Romney releases, those on the left will say it isn't enough...Romney on his website has a full 10 years of financial disclosures and his 2010 return, and 2011 estimate (full return to be posted when completed)....The only reason for Obamaphiles to go on this constant attack is because Obama has NOTHING positive to run on. It really is stunning....
