Oh my Fucking God!

Whoa gonzo...............!

This tent city does not even remotely matter (and if someone replies to this with that goddamn fish aphorism, I'm going to find you and kill you).

:nolovejesus: he also told me you are but 15 minutes from your deserved infame! The depression is about to hit your little corner of the world!

And more. The 'and more' is a handout

Who says its always "and more"? Maybe joe schmo is making $30K, pays $4K in taxes and gets $3950K back in credits and other monies from the federal goverment that the majority of the middle class doesn't get, are those hand outs too?

That may be the case in some instances and it may not be in most. You'd have to be very specific about income levels and goverment services handed back. My point is that, people always tend to jump down the throats of poor people in general when they get money back which they pay out, yet seem to have a sense of justice when they get money back from that same institution. As seen in this thread.
Why would I bet upset? They pay, if not in one way they pay in another. Let them have their cash too.

That's just like how there's no homosexuals in Iran!

Well, the IRS table I was looking at said that if you only make $20, you owe the federal government $2. Perhaps you have a different table you'd like to share with the board that I'm unaware of?

That's $20 over the exempt level. Not $20 in general.

I say we take Desh's suggestion (not sure if it was this thread or another). Take the $150billion and use it to hire individuals to rebuild our infrastructure.

Take those on welfare, unemployment etc... and provide them with jobs to rebuild/repair roads, bridges, sewers etc....

IRS tables show you what you own in taxable income. Below a certain level you do not pay taxes. Therefore if you make $20 above whatever arbitrary limit they set you pay $2.

LOL...............

did you really have to explain taxable income vs gross income to Lady T?

Yes. I was talking about TAXABLE income. I assumed that you guys would have understood that as I posted a table which referred to taxable income. I will be sure to state the obvious going forward. My point is still the same, "Conservatives are quick to jump down the throats of poor people in general when they get money back which they pay out, yet seem to have a sense of justice when they get money back from that same institution. As seen in this thread. "

BS, T! You stepped in it. Don't make a bigger ass of yourself by trying to deny it.

According to the IRS tables everyone pays income taxes.

you have been SKEWERED

AGAIN

Uhhh...... no.......I never said that there weren't cases where some people got back more than what they put in. If I did, then yes, a skewering call would be appropiate, but I didn't.

There are however cases where the working poor get less back than what they put in you conservatives still consider what they get back to be "hand outs" unless the middle class can enjoy those deductions or credits too.

BS, T! You stepped in it. Don't make a bigger @$$ of yourself by trying to deny it.

Once again, I should have precluded that with a taxable income clause. I thought that was understood with the taxable income tables I posted.

But once AGAIN, I NEVER said that there aren't people that get back more than what they put in. And my original point still stands. The working poor get maligned by conservatives for taking "hand outs" when the middle class get the same type of thing, its somehow okay.

If your Gross unadjusted income is $20, then yes, you do NOT pay federal income taxes.
