On the Stimulus Bill - The Dems Shouldn't Have Caved

feel free to donate your checks back to the government or some non profit organization.

I will take back as much of my money that i can get legally since the services rendered suck.

dungshit, I'll take a rebate anyway I can get it.
only moronic partisan retards think we aren't vastly overtaxed.

doing my taxes now. hell im paying tens of thousands for what?

I mean honestly what am i paying for?

not like im seeing any benefit whatsoever for paying taxes.. why to rebuild some country i could care less about?

My stimulus plan includes legalizing theft. Crooks will spend every dollar stolen, because as they say easy come easy go. The multiplier will ripple through the economy and we will all soon be fantastically wealthy. And my plan is even better, because there is no middleman bureaurat. Woohoo!!!

LOL

So it breaks down to two camps with a very marginal difference between them:

1) Fuck stimulus, I want a check.

2) Fuck taxes and the government.

Fair enough.

Not really. The point is that taxing and spending is not a stimulus package. Taking from one area to spend in another does no good and bureucracy in between is a complete drain on productivity. Utility value is lost as well because the spending is not chosen freely.

Basically, fuck taxes and the government. No?

I understand your position. I simply disagree with it but that argument ends up at a disagreement over "fairness" and we can just agree to disagree without the dog and pony show.

Having said that, there is no disputing that some form of stimulus package is going to be passed. That being the case, I would prefer that the stimulus package maximize the potential overall stimulus.

You were not arguing fairness. You are arguing that these forms of stimulus would be economically advantageous based on voodoo nonsense.

Fairness is a different debate altogether.

See.
