That means that 80% do have a religion.....and the vast majority of them are CHRISTIANS.....

Pew found that 68% of the religiously unaffiliated say they believe in God....thats an even more pertinent stat.....
Would that be 68% of the 20% left that have no religion.....????

Not many of us agnostics left then.......

It's a survey. People will lie or refuse to answer based on perceived social stigma. I would bet the numbers of atheists and agnostics are higher than represented.
 
I imagine you can believe whatever you want.....no matter what kind of "evidence" you're resented with.....thats what keeps the lies and unfounded accusations
going on and on.....perception is reality
Every poll taken is a survey....

Fundamentally, there isn't much of a distinction. I accept either title. As an atheist, I do not believe there is a god, but I do not have knowledge that there isn't a god.

Granted, I think the probability of there being a god is so low that we can safely assume it doesn't exist.

This a survey on an issue where people who answer a certain way face an extreme amount of stigmatization.

Is this about you whining about how tough it is to be a Republican? :)

Strawman. Also, this response implies we have a moral responsibility to expose our deepest held convictions to a complete stranger taking a survey. Is that how you really feel about this Mr. like like? :)

We are social creatures. NOBODY likes being isolated or feeling like an outsider. It is human nature to want to fit in and a big part of the value in belonging to a church or political organization.

So then you see no value in any polling? or only the ones where you don't like the results

Polls don't normally reveal names and answers..
Do YOU personally stigmatize atheists ?

Do YOU personally ridicule agnostics....?

or only ridicule the believers ?
 
People with "no religion" would include people who believe in god but simply don't follow one of the religions. The idea that this means that they are all atheist is a bit of an assumption.

Well, let me explain to you, My mother is religious, she is not a hypocrite, I do not ridicule her for her beliefs. My brother is a hypocrite, I ridicule him nd his religion because he oesnt practice what Jesus preached.

I ridicule hypocrites, if I find a hypocritical agnostic or atheist, I will ridicule them.

And an agnostic or atheist will be hypocritical how ?.....by practicing religion and and/or what this Jesus taught ?

Don't you find your logic a little convoluted ?

Ridicule for admitting to being what they are......I just don't agree with that but that doesn't mean there are no exceptions to the rule....
