One of the most prominent bogeymen in the right-wing political war against education

Guno צְבִי

We fight, We win, Am Yisrael Chai
Is critical race theory.

One of the biggest hoaxes in the right-wing political war against education is also critical race theory, because, in truth, many of those rallying against it have little or no interest in protecting children from “discomfort.”

It is time (indeed past time) for people to realize that the artificially manufactured anti-critical race theory hysteria is more than just a grift by right-wing politicians, pundits, and organizations soliciting votes, ratings, and funding by appeals to white supremacy.

There are actually two main motivations behind it.

The first is to define critical race theory so nebulously that any classroom discussions about race, no matter how educational or innocuous, can readily be silenced by labeling them critical race theory.

The second is to use critical race theory to sow distrust, and decrease enrollment, in public education, because many of the individuals and organizations currently campaigning against critical race theory hope to financially profit from the private “charter” schools they plan to open and operate.

Naturally, the powers behind the anti-critical race theory movement are not going to advertise their true motivations, and instead are relying on another bogeyman, Marxism, to stigmatize critical race theory.

Critical race theory forced upon schools etc. is proof of white replacement theory as not so much a theory after all.

Why don't you explain to us exactly what CRT is and how it works.

Who teaches that..Fox Gnus? The end of slavery means things changed. But the Jim Crow laws, lynching, and discrimination quickly started. The opportunities for blacks were institutionally limited. That is who we were and some of you still are. They still get cheated out of their right to vote by Repub and gerrymandering. Those are real and their purpose is clear. We have a long way to go and pointing that out in schools is a must. The students are the generation that can change things. But they have to know how it started and what the present-day impact is. If you feel guilt about what has been done to blacks for over 200 years, that is good. You should feel it.

CRT is just a mo' better version of radical Leftist dogma.

Its origins come from Critical Pedagogy invented by a Communist Brazilian named Paulo Freire. From there, Freire's ideas were adopted by various Western Communists in the academic sector and expanded by the likes of Ayres, McLaren, or the Giroux's.

From Critical Pedagogy, various radical Leftist, often Communist academics then invented Critical Legal Theory. CLT holds that there is inherent social bias within the laws as written that give advantage to certain groups over others. The argument made is that the rich and powerful (bourgeoise in Marxist terms) use the law to keep down the proletariat. This was then extended to race as well as economic class.

From there, you had Kimberly Crenshaw, a radical Leftist Communist academic herself, invent the corollary idea of Intersectionality. That idea takes classic Marxist class struggle and applies it to race and gender such that any perceived advantage or disadvantage one such group has with respect to another is due to an imbalance in power. Crenshaw then took CLT and applied it to race and gender from her idea of Intersectionality inventing CRT.

CRT is simply Marx repackaged. Under CRT some races are deemed advantaged--the equivalent of the Bourgeoise--and racist while others are deemed disadvantaged--the proletariat--and not racist. The result is under CRT that first, you are who your race is. That is to say, if you are deemed one of the advantaged races you are by definition a racist. Doesn't matter if you don't espouse any racist ideas personally, simply being the race you are makes you racist. If you are one of the disadvantaged races, then the opposite applies even if you are openly a race hating bigot. You cannot be racist as a member of a race deemed disadvantaged or victimized.

On that basis, CRT is then applied to the academic world to produce lesson plans, curricula, and make policy. It is just a bigoted, racist, way to incite classical Marxist class warfare except by using race rather than social or economic status.
