Well, I never even heard of these guys until today. I'm not aware of anyone who listens to their shows. You may well be right, that democratic-voting union members are listening. As far as my own personal experince: virtually all the sexist, mysoginistic posters I've seen in cyberspace are conservatives or fascists

That last part completely represents my own experiences too. In fact, it wasn't until I came to this board that I met a republican male in cyberspace who wasn't a freaking disgusting pig. Well, Cawacko too, from the old board, but that was one out of how many? It's very rare. Unless you post as a woman, or are a very observant man, you wouldn't imagine just how rare.

Everything out of those bastards was sexually degrading personally, and in the context of a political debate, right Cypress? You cannot believe it if you don't see it. It's stunning.
 
If talk radio was all that was on radio I would never turn one on.
Stern is an ASS, a rich ass but an ass nonetheless.
 
Listening to the show doesn't mean you think that kind of stuff is great though. I listened to the show because I find stupidity humourous.That's also why I love listening to Michael Savage (Wiener). Everything that guy says is disgusting but I find it amusing. Stern and O&A are the same way.

Maybe I like to be disgusted but I'm certainly not in the group of people who listen in and are like "yeah fucking fags and bitches they suck and I love my balls!".
 
Another thing is as much as I like you sensible posters like Cypress, Damocles and the rest of you. Posters like Asshat or Dixie I just can't stay away from and always rush first to see what they are saying.

My boyfriend listens to Stern. And, yes, they are se xist, racist and extremely offensive. But he has good interviews and he can be funny.

imho the ones that like Springer, Stern and other gross putdown shows are those whose self esteem in large part depends on making sure others are worse than they are.
Instead of being independent and making sure they are where they need to be without comparison.
Stomp someone little to feel big syndrome.
 
Oh I find stupidity extremely funny. I love Leslie Nielson movies, monty python, Benny hill, etc
I do not like stupidity that is cruel or gross in nature though.
And if bush was not president, he would be hillarious too.

If I were concerned about my macho image I would not dare tell anyone either. Heck some think I am a commie or something because I don't care for pro sports and Nascar....
But I am content with myself and feel no need to follow the pack.

More with my intellectual one. But I laugh so hard everytime I see one of those Police Story ones, no matter how many times I've seen it before. Just his face, cracks me up. It's so deadpan.
