PA Supreme Court Overturns Voter ID Law

Hopefully you can clear something up for me. I learned that WA state voting is done by mail. Also, your registration form doesn't require photo ID. Is this correct?
That is true here in Ohio. Voting can be done by mail and no, you don't need a photo ID, though you must provide either the last four digits of yoru SS# or your drivers license #. I ussually vote by mail. It permits me the time to do more detailed research on the candidates and issues as I never vote a straight ticket.

It's also why I think the Dems response to Republican voter repression laws tend to be over reactions. Though it is true that voter ID laws are a solution in search of a problem who's intent is to supress the vote. Ultimately those laws will fail to suppress the vote because there are to many venues available in which to vote these days. :)

Yes, and it is susceptible to fraud. I personally know someone that filled out a ballot for a dead relative. It is a horrible system.

I looked into this further and the regs say after the application is approved, the person has to go and have a photo taken. Yet it's not used for actual voting so what's the point?
