It is only pointless with a Magat DoJ. For all prior DOJ's it had great meaning.
it was why @T. A. Gardner predicted all these cases Trumps Magat DOJ are bringing would plead out before these even got to any hearings, as the DoJ had such a massive success rate in courts and even bigger for indictments that the best option was to get a deal prior.
What Terry did not consider is the almost total incompetence you get when Magats take over the DoJ and put in 'their people'.
Now it is the exact opposite and you should bet against the indictment and when you realize that it also means the chance in court at an actual conviction would be near zero.

@FastLane understands what is going and admitted that 'this is the point' when he was saying that forcing James and Comey to lawyer up and spend money and time in getting the cases dismissed was the point or goal.
It was him admitting that Magats are not competent enough to get indictments or convictions so they have to accept this, at the start as the goal and win while knowing they will lose ALWAYS to the Dems and left who are simply smarter, as he believes they are clearly guilty but has no hope Magats can get them.
