Lot of protestant churches have extra Saturday services. They do it to better fill their church with extra people. Read the 4th Commandment and you see why Catholics and those kinds of extra services don't fulfill the 4rh Commandment.

Just remember that your antipathy for the Catholic flavor of Christianity is rooted in basic competition amongst faiths when it should be rooted in the whole portrayal of a sovereign, Marxist country as a religion. All American Catholics should have abandoned their allegience to the Vatican the moment the Pope began proselytizing their need to subvert the US and to OBEY Europe against their own interests. I think all Americans should be looking at the real, bigger picture. Americans should not be Catholics as long as the religion is run by the European Union in the same way that the DNC oligarchy runs the party in its own greedy, power-mad manner that cares nothing for its constituents.

Frankly, your own personal aversion is based on little more than a petty "no true Scotsman" fallacy, that Catholics simply aren't TRUE Christians, and you miss the big reasons that Catholicism should be refactored or simply avoided.

Now, all you will hear from a Pope is why you should add all of your wealth to the mega-$billions of the Vatican Bank, while he adds nothing of value to you ... kind of like what Greenpeace and PETA do.

This particular complaint of yours will backfire. Calling the Pope "Father" is just a term of endearment that is afforded to all priests, well below the stature of the Pope. Spanish-speakers refer to a priest as "Padre" which is how the San Diego baseball team got its name. It could just as well be "Dad" (but it isn't).

How would you feel about your own church being governed and administered by the American Communist Party? ... or by the IPCC? If that were the case, your church would grow and would acquire many major donors. You would be asked why you are worrying about the superficial stuff.

Young people are looking for a strong sense of community... and of belonging... as they find themselves experiencing so many new, and sometimes uncertain, life experiences... Finding comfort in God, they are finding more comfort with themselves...
