Pat Robertson supports Pro-Choice canidate!

WASHINGTON (AP) - Televangelist Pat Robertson, founder of the Christian Coalition, endorsed Republican presidential candidate Rudy Giuliani on Wednesday.
"It is my pleasure to announce my support for America's Mayor, Rudy Giuliani, a proven leader who is not afraid of what lies ahead and who will cast a hopeful vision for all Americans," Robertson said during a news conference with Giuliani in Washington.

The former New York mayor backs abortion rights and gay rights, positions that put him in conflict with conservative GOP orthodoxy, and has been trying to persuade evangelical conservatives like Robertson to overlook their differences on those issues.

Evangelicals have split in their support for the leading Republican candidates. Kansas Sen. Sam Brownback, a favorite of Christian conservatives who dropped out of the race last month, endorsed fellow Sen. John McCain of Arizona on Wednesday. Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney recently announced that Paul Weyrich and Bob Jones III were on board with his candidacy.

Asked about the Robertson endorsement, McCain, at a news conference with Brownback in Dubuque, Iowa, said: "Every once in a while, I'm left speechless. This is one of those times."

maybe we can finally but this rediculous debate to a rest. a woman has a right to choose what happens to her body.

not over a womans body he doesn't. kid doesn't have any rights till hes not reliant on mothers body anymore.

If you are going to pretend, at least use the right terminology. "Progeny" is the correct term here. It fits any stage of life, from the zygote up to the geriatric.

so you can kill the kid up until he/she no longer needs to breast feed?

That said, I do respect that you made this an issue of rights and not about whether or not the kid was a human being.
 
child is not reliant on the mom after a certain stage of development. at that point it can survive a foster environment like incubator with formula.
 
My first reaction to this news was that the GOP is becoming seriously, obviously fragmented at this point. And the Dems are shooting themselves in the foot more every day. Time for a sound third party candidate to emerge.

But hasn't it been shown that formula lacks the natural antibodies that the child picks up from the breast milk?

A side question... if self-reliance is the determining factor, why not apply that to everyone? If you are not self-reliant... then you can be killed? :)

Rudolfo does well in existing polls agains Hillary. Everyone on the right is terrified of another Clinton presidency. Pat raises race horses. He is a betting man and he is trying to bet on the horse that keeps the whitehouse and all the judicial nominations in the Republican party. This is Justice Stevens last chance, the Senate will be in dem hands so if he resigns and there is a Dem president the nominee will not be a supporter of the Biological Totalitarian Imperitive. Even if the Repubs try to filibuster, the Dems will pull out the Nuclear option developed by the Repubs and end debate and go straight to a floor vote. This scares Robertson so bad it has made him a right wing pragmatist. Gotta vote for the guy you KNOW will not nominate another Stevens or Brennan or Blackmun.
