Trey Gowdy is really poising himself to be a serious presidential candidate in 2024, after Trump leaves office -- and the way he ripped into Rosenstein really solidifies this fact.

Gowdy repeatedly exposed the DOJ for hiding evidence, lying to congress and doing everything he can to drag the president thru the mud -- but finally Gowdy has demanded that he finishes this sham of an investigation up.

Gowdy himself is no stranger to investigations that produces evidence and results in quick fashion -- He still gives Hitlery nightmares to this day because of the way he exposed her and brought her criminal wrongdoings to light in a far shorter period of time than this investigation. If I remember correctly, Gowdy wrapped up his Benghazi investigation in the span of a few months, so I stand with Gowdy when he says "finish this the hell up!!"

...and did it quickly.

The world must quake at the thought of what our nation is enduring right now.

We've got a Hitler wanna-be at the helm of the ship of state; he is steering it toward the rocks; and the assholes who support him are applauding.

Just wanted to say if you had world war 3 and you had the US on one side with (according to democrats) Russia then the picture your showing would be the opposing capitals.

The only way to advance this is to see the EC, and see what spying was going on before hand.

Yup...that would be the most likely scenario.

But I suspect that any future war will involve more than just the US versus Russia...and it just might see some countries allied with Russia who are simply going to desert the US if such a war breaks out.

Countries like the UK, Germany, France and China have a hell of a lot more to fear with a US victory in such a scenario than they would with a Russian victory.

The picture I posted...might just foretell of what the capitals of all the world's countries could look like at war's end.

Donald Trump and the American Right...must be brought to heel...RIGHT NOW. They pose a greater danger to the world and to peace than anything else now impacting on world events.

The Repubs and Trump are not entitled to see what Mueller has discovered. When he is done he will show all. The truth is the Repubs want to kneecap the investigation. They are trying to protect our crooked president and his band of thieves. This hearing is showmanship. Daffy taught them that much.

Investigations take as long as is required. No longer, no shorter. Every other presidential investigation took much longer. The Repugs admitted the Benghazi investigations were about lowering Hillary poll numbers. The problem is they figured out that Mueller is hurting Daffys reputation among those who have not guzzled the kool-aid. Gotta be some reason Trumps people are getting investigated,. where there is smoke, there is theft. So their tactics are getting turned back on them. seems fitting.

Sadly, hyperbole aside, I'm afraid you are right.
 
Now the Weasel is not denying the documents ( under subpoena since April)..he's just saying it takes a looong time
to produce them....slow waking..Strzok refuses to answer questions..."ongoing investigations"-
except the FBI investigation is not

Wray looks to be along for the ride - to chime up "but but the FBI is awesome"-
and the Dems are reduced to pointing out the partisan backgrounds of the players..

You could not get more Kabuki if you tried *snore*

Like I said in the other thread, I disagree with almost everything you bleat, but I will defend your right to bleat as often and loudly as you choose.

eputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein was forced to defend himself against harsh criticism from lawmakers that the DOJ has been lax in their ability to turn over sensitive documents related to a variety of investigations.

While much of the questioning revolved around the DOJ's inspector general's report which criticized the leadership and judgement of both departments during their handling of the Hillary Clinton email investigation, both FBI Director Christopher Wray and Rosenstein were pressed on the DOJ and FBI's willingness to hand over documents to congressional investigators as part of their probes into circumstances surrounding the 2016 election. Wray and Rosenstein argued that their departments are dealing with massive volumes of oversight requests.

"As a result of President Trump's commitment to transparency, the FBI is making unprecedented disclosures to the Congress, including granting access to hundreds of thousands of pages of investigative information, and thousands of pages of classified documents," said Rosenstein.

Wray meanwhile, argued that the FBI was working to make witnesses available, answer questions and provide an additional 880,000 pages of documents to lawmakers.

But in a particularly heated exchange with Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, Jordan accused Rosenstein of having personally redacted items relating to ongoing investigations as well as claims that Rosenstein was not complying with Congressional requests, saying, "you have seven days to get your act together."

Jordan was referring to a resolution on the House floor threatening to hold Rosenstein in contempt. The measure ultimately passed following their back-and-forth in a 226 to 183 vote -- demanding that the Justice Department fully comply with all document requests from the House Intelligence and Judiciary Committees by July 6.

"Mr. Jordan, I am the deputy Attorney General of the United States, okay? I'm not the person doing the redacting. I'm responsible for who's responding to your concerns as I have. I have a team with me, sir. It's just a fraction of the team that's doing this work, and, whenever you brought issues to my attention, I have taken appropriate steps to remedy them. So, your statement that I am personally keeping information from you, conceal information," Rosenstein said.

"You're the boss, Mr. Rosenstein," Jordan retorted. "That's correct, and my job is to make sure we respond to your concerns. We have, sir," Rosenstein responded.

Rosenstein added, "When you find some problem with production or with questions, it doesn't mean that I'm personally trying to conceal something from you. It means we're running an organization that's trying to follow the rules."


Chairman Bob Goodlatte began his opening remarks at the hearing saying the DOJ IG report revealed "bias in top echelons in the FBI during a hotly contested president election and revealed agents, lawyers and analysts held profound bias against Donald Trump and in favor of Hillary Clinton."

His comments come as Strzok participated in an over 11 hour-long interview before a closed meeting of the House Judiciary and Oversight and Government Reform Committees on Wednesday. Text messages exchanged between Strzok and fellow FBI official Lisa Page showed contempt for Mr. Trump throughout the Clinton email probe. The two were also assigned to work on the special counsel's probe into Russian interference in the 2016 campaign, but were removed when the texts were discovered.

Congress has limited power. about the most it can do is impeach -we saw how useless that was on Holder.

Agree that is the Rosenweasel position..

The asswipe who held a 3 year investigation of Benghazi ultimately accomplishing nothing?

I shouldn't say that though. His goal was to politically damage Clinton and he accomplished that
