Palestinians do not have any ' wealth ' to ' siphon off'. The fascists have , illegally, blockaded Gaza for over ten years.
If the Palestinians had any weaponry capable of bringing down Izraeli aircraft then they would certainly have used it by now. It has never happened.

Good picture. I was there a couple years ago. The picture is a lie because there's a gate and everyone may pass with minimal fuss. My wife and I spent an entire day in Bethlehem before going back to our hotel in Jerusalem. BTW, everyone seemed happy we were there. All spoke about keeping the peace.
