As speaker of House, Pelosi has institutional control and responsibilities for security of the premises.

She has no more control or responsibility than McConnell had as Senate Majority Leader. In fact, without support of McConnell, she can do nothing. There are four Congressional Committees that control the Capitol Police, two in the Senate, and two in the House. Pelosi is a member of one of those committees.
