But in a series of interviews with local media, Gore was gradually forced to answer direct questions about the scandal.

Until Friday, Gore had given short statements of support for Clinton, whom he repeatedly describes as ``my friend.'

Asked whether his own presidential aspirations had been tarnished, Gore told the Monitor: ``This shouldn't be about politics. This should be about what's right for the country.'

When asked if he condemned Clinton's escapades with former intern Monica Lewinsky, Gore said: ``He himself has condemned it, of course.'

He also said his reaction is the same as the president's reaction to his own wrongdoing. ``He has said it is wrong,' Gore said.

IF he knew of a crime and was a participant, he's just as guilty. I've seen no indication this would be true.

IF Pence knew of a crime and followed protocol, then he's fine since he did his duty. Again, I've seen no indication that, unlike Trump, Pence was ever guilty of negligence,, dereliction of duty or of committing a crime.

You said it was Pence's job so why has it not become Biden and Harris's job?

Like Trump's inability to charge Hillary, it's not so much that she's 100% not guilty but that there isn't enough evidence to convict.

So far, the 1/6 committee doesn't indicate Pence having a roll.

Oh, good grief Dutch, it was His job to report Trump’s crimes, not prosecute them. You’re being obtuse about this. I know Pence is your guy, but most of Trump’s administration saw him commit crimes and only a few whistleblowers came forward.

Sorry, Phan, but the obtuse one is you for assuming that, because Pence didn't go on CNN, that he didn't follow protocol for reporting crimes.

Pence isn't my "guy" any more than Biden is. Can we agree he would have been a better President than Trump or are you so far out in Left Field that you blindly everyone to the right of you?

If it's Pence vs. Harris in 2024, I assure you I'll still be voting Libertarian. LOL
