I do occasionally run into people I've hung out with years ago, some changed (appearance) drastically, others look the same.
I'd love to see how some of my old friends and acquaintances did, who the girls I dated married, etc. Lots of good memories...

Over the years I have made a few attempts to reach out to people who were important in my life who I found by way of the internet....I cant claim that this ever turned out well....I stopped doing this many years ago.
