Odd, I thought UCLA was going to play them for the puss12 title. Can you really call it a title game if neither team knows how to play defense? Shouldn't the teams be required to play both sides of the ball? your turn to score, ok your turn now, ooops you dropped one too many passes, we win. Punters never see the field. Cheerleaders would have a better chance at stopping the opponents than the 'men' that take the field for defenses in the puss 12.

If he was actually intelligent, he would know there is no such thing as football on the west coast. That said, I understand why a USC grad would think someone like Toppy is smart.
 
Wow, I thought Patraeus was serving in his military grade at the CIA. It's not unheard of for these posts to be filled by military officers.

It is not so much that our society is dominated by the 10% who went to public school, it is the assumption by some that government of the UK is their birthright. Eton College promotes that assumption.
Prime Minister - Eton
Arch Bishop of Canterbury - Eton
Mayor of London - Eton
Clegg - Winchester

Not all public schoolboys are raised with that assumption. John Peel was at Shrewsbury as were the founders of Private Eye.
I was fortunate enough to attend a public prep scool and I can tell you first hand what we were taught about the lesser classes. Our school was an unofficial feeder for Sandhurst not political rule.
Perhaps you do not remember MacMillion, Eden and Home. They epitomised the 'elite rule by birthright' that kept intelligent working people in their respective places. We cannot return to those days.
Did you have to apply for jobs after uni or coll? Did you have to write cv s and job applications?
Etonians and Harrovians do not as a rule. They are placed on their extremely well paid career ladders by ex Etonians who are there by the grace of ex Etonians before them. Once again I have intimate knowledge of this.
So really the crux of the matter is this, and this will apply to the US just as much as to the UK. Life should be played on level playing fields. If Little Lord Fauntleroy is worthy of a rapid rise through the ranks then thats OK providing that Joe Bloggs from inner Birmingham has the same opportunity.
