Play Misty For Me

What If 'Misty' Was Played By 8 Legendary Jazz Pianists?

This is great fun to listen to her imitate the styles of great jazz pianists as they might do "Misty." She's a very talented player.

Studio Jams #6 - "Misty"

This is really nice. Upbeat, swinging rendition. Joey DeFrancesco on the Hammond organ and Larry Carlton on guitar and the other members of the ensemble sound great, too!

If you close your eyes you can almost imagine it being played in a smoky 1967 jazz cafe in St Louis.

Joscho Stephan Trio // Misty (feat. Matthias Strucken)

Another one which sounds reminiscent of a jazz club performance.

And with Vibes!

After spending a couple of hours enjoying dozens of different versions of the great song, the one that I woke up hearing in my head is my current favorite.

Ray Stevens' Grammy Award winning version.

Ray Stevens - "Misty" (Official Audio)

Ray Stevens recorded this classic, Grammy-winning song in 1975 based on a jazz standard written in 1954 by the pianist Erroll Garner. "Misty" appeared on the album of the same name with the cover featured in this video. It was an international hit which made it all the way up to #3 on the U.S. Billboard Hot Country Singles chart.
