Plurality of Voters Think There’s a Crisis at the Border

There’s a sizable flotilla of reasons to build a wall. Though theoretically, the problem can be addressed with better laws and enforcement but congress can’t be trusted to do that. They’ve proven it time and again.

So build the damn wall.
Annatta and you have been sharing that bong water.

As President Donald Trump mulls declaring a national emergency over border security, a new Morning Consult/Politico survey shows a lion’s share of voters agree with him that the United States is facing a crisis over illegal immigration.

According to the poll, conducted Jan. 4-6 among 1,989 registered voters, a 42-percent plurality think there is an illegal immigration crisis at the U.S.-Mexico border, which Trump has argued as he’s tried to leverage a partial government shutdown to secure congressional funding for his proposed southern border wall. Another 37 percent of voters said there’s a problem but not a crisis, and 12 percent said there’s neither a problem nor a crisis.

The number is likely higher

1) Morning Consult is a liberal polling group - polls for Vox, Politico and Bloomberg (all leftist)

2) They sampled registered voters - registered voter samples always lean left. Likely voters are better samples

3) They oversampled democrats

Hold your ground President Trump

#MAGA

Even with the sampling democrats are mistaken if they think they’re on the right side of the issue.

It is clear that the democrat party is making this their "Read my lips, no new taxes" moment to try to take out Trump the way they took out Bush 41 in 1990.

obviously "frank", you missed the speech last night,
I'm sure it's on loop for you if you really care

I did not miss the speech. I watched and listened.

Are you saying that because of the speech last night...Donald Trump did not promise a wall that Mexico was going to pay for as his main issue.

LOTS AND LOTS of video showing that he did...if you want to refresh your memory.

If your only argument is that "Trump promised Mexico would pay for it" then you are conceding the other points. Yours is a weak hand. You should fold. You won't, but you should. Get over your desire to just oppose everything Trump does and for once do what is right for the country Frankie. You don't have many years left. Do the right thing

You are correct that Trump won the election...but he won it with promises of a wall that Mexico was going to pay for as his main issue.
You missed that part?

Huh. I always thought that the economy was why he "won". At least, that's what the IRL apologists tell me.

My argument is that Trump promised to build a wall that Mexico was going to pay for...and that the promise was the main issue during his campaign. It certainly was the most regular issue...the one that drew the most applause...even more than the "lock her up" nonsense.

Are you also saying that the abomination, Donald Trump, did NOT promise to build a wall that Mexico was going to pay for?

Ya know...the wall that was not built when the Republicans has control of both the House and Senate?

the wall was a big part of his platform

It's one poll. But i've noticed the trending is getting a narrower and narrower in support for a wall.
Stil la bit less then 50% though

Yup, he promised that they would pay for it. If you want to play semantics, he didn't say when or how. As I said, it sounds like you have conceded the rest of the arguments are only hung up on the "Mexico was going to pay for it"

We can swing $5 billion to keep illegals out can't we Frankie? What if your granddaughter was raped by an illegal alien? Would you be so blasé about it? Maybe you hate Trump that much that you don't mind putting your family at risk? Maybe you don't know anybody impacted by the opioid crisis Frankie? Maybe you hate Trump more than you love them.

But hey if you just want to sit in your nursing home mumbling to yourself "He said Mexico would pay for it" then knock yourself out
