You are correct. Lefties assume that everyone deserves respect because they exist. Respect is earned not the participation trophy mindset lefties follow.

Recently had a situation this applies. A dog of a person in the neighborhood that normally walks her dog took a dump in my yard about a month ago. It's been happening a lot but I didn't know who it was. I happened to be sitting in my car after just getting home when she and the dog came walking by. When I noticed that the dog was going to dump in my yard, I took a picture of the dog in action. I waited a while thinking that the lady would come back and do the right thing by picking it up. When that didn't happen in a reasonable amount of time, I put it in a ziplock bag, printed the picture, put it in a box along with a note, and left it on her doorstep.

While that's not a politically correct action, the lady didn't deserve respect either.

Bullshit. There are no real examples of political correctness in this country, and I've checked carefully. About the 'States, all things are possible, but the crazies on here do not give me confidence in their wild-eyed allegations. What the shit that stuff you say there might mean, God knows.

In case you weren't already aware, I don't take your word for anything. What that means is you can say what you want and it still doesn't mean shit. Your word amounts to nothing because YOU amount to nothing.

People deserve respect by virtue of being one of gods creations. That does not mean you should never disagree with another person, but you should always treat another person with respect.

Wrong. Political Correctness is an invention of moral degenerates who are trying to finger point everyone else into submission. That's why it's ALWAYS safe to say "Happy Holidays" and anywhere from potentially racist, to totally racist, to say "Merry Christmas", right comrade? ;)

Its not safe to say Happy Holidays, because some people get pissed about that. I don't really care if it pisses people off. Its not racist at all to say Merry X-Mass.

If you tell someone who does not celebrate X-Mass, Merry X-Mass they might think you are ignorant but I don't think they will think you are racist for it. People have accidentally given me Hanukah gifts before, I don't think they are racist, I graciously accept and giggle to myself a bit that they assumed I was jewish, I guess due to my last name and profession.

If you say something racist, I have a right to dislike you, I have a right to refuse to do business with you, I have a right to refuse to associate with you, I have a right to not hire you to represent my business.

You fuckers attack people who respond to such comments and tell them they are being PC. Its an attempt to prohibit individuals from responding to racism.

Well Jarod... if you "save" that cabbage soup too long in the fridge, the consequence is one stinky explosion when you open it. It may not be a negative consequence to you, but your wife may not agree.

This is where you go off the rails. What you're describing is not political in any way, it's just people forming opinions and acting accordingly. You seem to want people to believe that political correctness and common decency are synonymous.

Here is an example of something I consider to be 'PC', you tell me if this is decent or not: My school district has seen an increase in non-white students over the last 10 years. My two youngest children were given an assignment when they were in middle school, they were both 12 years old at the time. The assignment was to write an essay explaining why they feel guilty about being white and what they were planning to do to right the wrongs done by their ancestors. The non-white students were told to write essays about why they're proud of their culture...whatever that means. That's not decent, it also wasn't voluntary.

The schools alone are full of examples of PC but if you want to think that PC means not being a dick then go right ahead.

Such an assignment should not be given, I don't see how it is Political Correctness. If my kid had that assignment, and he did not have guilt for being white, (I hope he does not) then I would instruct him to write about why he has no guilt for being white.

If I were given such an assignment I would write about why I have no such guilt and I would go on to write about how I am not to blame for the sins of my ancestors, but that I can recognize how I benefited from what my ancestors did that was wrong. I can make sure I am cognizant of how other families were treated in the past and understand how that affects the situation they were born into today. Even tough I don't feel guilt I can work to help people who were not born into as fortunate of a situation as I was born into.

I don't believe in different assignments for different races no matter the reason. Are you sure that was the assignment or were the instructions changed to make it sound worse than it is?
