Facts don't care about your feelings TD. The United States is a corporation. So is the state that you live in and the state that I live in. Each federal department of the United states is a corporation.

Perhaps in some ways, but then we seemed to have taken over the far flung realm it's self, the British Empire & it's role of dividing, conquering etc.. One of the first acts was overthrowing the democratically elected leader in Iran.........

I recall thinking Reagan would revive mercantilism, as many American corps dwarf the economies of much of the fourth world countries as well as many 3rd world countries..

Jack: So, basically the EIC, but under a different name?

Old Europe was governed by Kings. The EIC was governed by a 'Director' and a 'Board'.
The US never had a 'King', It's always had a Director (President) and a Board (Congress) elected by the Shareholders (Property Owners).
