My wife says she Hates Biden. This is the only time in 40 Years of marriage I have heard heard her state she hated anyone. She stated that even before the Dementia, he was always a lair, manipulator, and downright mean. She has a point in that.

It's clear that the academic sort who are historians got it wrong. Presidential success is based in good part on how the public at large saw a president at the time. Thus, a president is a failure if they were widely despised by the public for their time in office.

AGREED, I can remember thinking Clinton would hold that honor for my lifetime. Wow, how things have raced to the bottom called Biden. Finally, Trump can start to turn that trend around.

You probably won't.

Trump had a relatively successful first term up to Chinese Disease. His handling of that at the federal level is a mixed bag. The single biggest disaster was New York where Cuomo completely botched the response. In fact, if anything, blue states in general had pretty disastrous responses to Chinese Disease.

On the whole, Trump's first term puts him an average position as a President. He got several Arab states to establish relations with Israel and put the US embassy in Jerusalem. His handling of the Syrian civil war and ISIS was quite good. The Ukraine-Russia situation was left to simmer but didn't result in war. China and N. Korea were both subdued in their actions.

Domestically, the economy did okay and things were moving forward. The US became a net exporter of oil / natural gas again, a good thing.

Again, on the whole, Trump was a middle rank president, neither particularly good or bad.

Clinton wasn't a bad president. He sucked massively as a human being and in his personal actions, much like say, Nixon. But as a president he didn't do all that bad.

I guess they are reasons that have as much impact on the left as a fart in a windstorm. Selling out his friends, screwing over vulnerable old folks, accepting political donations from our enemies, laundering money through the commodities market, etc., etc. There's a laundry list of scandals before we even get to the big distraction - the blue dress, which is what you'd call wagging the dog. As I mentioned, that kind of thing doesn't really register with the "ends justify the means" crowd. How about you? Does your moral compass spin like a top?
