But there are those who say pride = bigotry, and cannot recognize racial bigotry even when it's encoded in public and corporate policy.

If someone has nothing to be proud of but the color of their skin, they haven't done anything to make me want to listen to them.

I agree but many institutions ask that we extoll blacks for being proud, and shame whites for the same. I just work here.
